Hi Guys and Gals,

Here is a disclaimer, I run a hosting / design firm...

I like to offer products and services to niche markets, meaning we specialize and cater to our clients in specific fields /niches or what have you. Recently joined the boards to learn a little more about SEO and find out all the "tricks" I am missing out on.

As I have ben reading it seems everyone is trying to post their affiliate code to HG and they seem pretty highly recommended on here.

My question to you guys is what do you WANT from a WEB HOST. Is there something specific that would cater to you guys that you need?

I've seen a lot of posts asking about email limits and such, most hosts for "shared" plans do put a limit on how many emails you can send per hour ETC...

Also noticed a lot of users on here running some specific software types that requires more RAM and bandwidth than a typical VPS will offer..

My intent is to create a hosting service(VPS or Dedicated and shared if needed) specifically for the people on this board and possible other SEO experts out there. I thank you in advance for your feedback.

Alright here we go. I want:

Low prices
NO downtime - none
Great 24/7 support
Fast servers
Unlimited Bandwidth
Unlimited Storage

UNLIMITED Storage
UNLIMITED Bandwidth
FREE SSL
Free Scripts
Support

Usually i don't take risk of choosing a hosting provider who is new to the market. Bcz lot of people out there who just buy some re-seller package and pretend as of they own a hosting company. If i look for other alternatives i see the things others mentioned + i look for reviews from others. How long they are in business.
If you are planning to start a service here : you can offer hosting with different class IP address hosted around the world. We use this for blog networks.
VPS : with low monthly fee and have option to increase brandwidth/storage when ever needed. Most of the VPS service providers are have standard plans and we need to wait for a month to upgrade. Something like pay per use???

PHP, MySQL,
plenty databases,
autoresponder,
emaillist,
unlimited add-on domains
cron jobs,
full control over your php settings,
backups,
logs,
ftp

Low prices
NO downtime - none
Great 24/7 support

Most are looking for something pretty cheap (~$5-10/mo) that allows unlimited add-on domains and most of all very reliable uptime and support.

Also noticed a lot of users on here running some specific software types that requires more RAM and bandwidth than a typical VPS will offer.
This sounds like a Windows VPS (or dedi) which most people here use for running SEO software 24/7. No one is hosting a site with such a box. In this case it's about speed/ram/bandwidth and price. When running automated tools we can go through a lot of bandwidth so this should be unlimited. A gigabit option is more attractive for this reason as well, though not every use case needs that much bandwidth. Most people will try to run several tools on one box so multiple RAM options is a good idea. Minimum should be 1.5GB and you could offer up to 8GB. Uptime on a machine that is running our tools 24/7 is important. Some providers are somewhat notorious for having their boxes go down for a restart several times a week and I know that can be frustrating to wake up and see your software stopped 20 minutes after you went to bed because the server rebooted. And again, really responsive support is very important.

Thanks for all the Feedback!

We just got some new servers in and will be live in a few days... Look for some SEO blackhat specific deals / features around the corner..

Daily backups provided by the host (I dont want to pay for that shit), as well as great support 24/7. The rest has been mentioned above.

Since 2009, this is what I've noticed is needed by the BHW community and myself. As you can see, there a few newbies requesting unlimited. You could state unlimited to ensure you capture that idiot market but in your terms, maybe clarify the amount for us that have been through it before.

For shared hosting (not VPS):

100 addon domains.
Reasonable price (<$10/month)
Clearly stated traffic/storage limits (I hope everyone realizes unlimited isn't true)
Helpful support that move websites for you from old host
Support response times under 5 minutes
Offshore
Bi-weekly (twice weekly) backups
Softaculous or similar
99% Uptime
cPanel
phpMyAdmin

Besides the obvious MySQL, FTP, etc, I think that is everything. Hope this helps.

I have a website and its based on cloud hosting since it has unlimited disk space, unlimited traffic, subdomains etc. When choosing a host one should look for the reliability, reputation, support that the host provides.By looking through the user reviews one can get clear idea about the host because it will contain honest feedback. The host should satisfy the customer's demands without any hidden charges.Providers like 9cubehosting.com help the user to host at affordable rates with their quality service.
Is that website yours?
