Fiverr + Ebay - How do you guys get away with it?

Hi guys,

i have seen countless threads across both this and other forums regarding making money with Fiverr and Ebay.

Namely reselling Fiverr gigs on Ebay for a markup. Most of these methods were about reselling social fan gigs. For example, reselling a gig for 1000 Youtube views or selling a gig for 1000 Facebook likes.

I decided to give it a go myself, i set the auction to 7 days. 1 day into my auction, i get a message from Ebay, saying i have broken their terms of service by listing this auction. They confirmed with me that they do NOT accept auction listings that involve selling social fans of any sort, including Facebook fans/likes etc.

I was annoyed, as if you type Facebook likes into ebay you will be met with hundreds of listings. Listings which have been up for days and which are selling like hot cakes. I confronted Ebay support asking what was so different about my listing that caused it to get removed. The reply said something similar to: "Ebay does not accept social listings of this type (Including Facebook likes, Youtube views etc.), any auctions which are still running selling these services have not yet been found and removed, and will be removed when we find them"

My question is, why was my listing removed? How did they manage to remove mine in a day, yet so many auctions carry on selling the exact same thing. I am confused as to why mine was removed and not anyone elses. If Ebay's employees had the brains to type "Facebook Likes" into the search box, they would have a list of thousands of auctions going against their terms of service. But apparently they "Cant find them" - Yet they found mine extremely quickly.

How do you guys get away with it?
Reselling Fiverr gigs on Ebay seems a great way to make some extra cash, i'd really appreciate any help.

Could be the possibility your competitors reporting you. Try using multiple stealth accounts and list on all with different variations and categories.
 
I listed multiple at the same time through turbo lister.
Everything was different, the copy, picture, title, etc.
Ebay got rid of the one that said "real" facebook fans...
Maybe I got lucky.
 
Who needs eBay when you can go fish where the fish are. Little fish eBay, think bigger for bigger fish.
 
eBay = little fish? Don't think so .... it is the one and only auction site where you ever can make a profit .....
only way to make more money is setting up an own website, but this needs seo knowledge and takes much time until you will get ranked to make a decent profit ...
 
i did it before...i sold likes 2 times, after that got warning on my ebay account..would not risk my account for few bucks.
Not worth it

Actually yes I did read the OP.

And NO people are NOT getting away with it. Ebay pulls the listing and gives you a warning.

I have sat here watching listing after listing sell.

From the same accounts with hundreds of positive feedback.

So yes they ARE getting away with it.

Also, seen as your so confident I did a simple 10 second search just to prove im right.

Search for the ebay user "usefulstore1". Just 1 of many sellers. He has been going since January and has sold more than 150 Social listings. Be it likes, fans, views, subs etc.

I wouldnt make this thread for no reason if others were getting a warning too, which they evidently arent. So theres no need to be a smart arse and neg rep people with a different view to you.
 
Now days Ebay is so strict , they will detect you and give warning or direct Ban.
 
I dealt with this about a year ago when I was selling youtube views like crazy on there. When I asked them why I was banned and their were over 100 other listings for youtube views on there they told me that if I wanted to I could report them 1 by 1.

Yes eBay little fish, IM forums big fish, selling SEO on eBay is like trying to sell sand to the Arabs. As for make a profit, you must be joking.

You can look through many sales threads on IM forums selling so called SEO services for hundreds and when you break them down, you could make up the same SEO service using a few Fiverr gigs costing up to $30. Sales for SEO services are on IM forums, if you want to play around, then yes go play on eBay, but you will not get far. You need to establish yourself among people who are doing IM.
 
i was able to sell my Likes 20 Times on eBay. But now they got me too
 
Maybe they just didn't catch them yet? That does seem very odd though, and I'd be interested in knowing how they get away with it for so long.
 
You may be getting flagged by a competitor.


This used to happen to me when I used to sell on ebay. Despite other people selling the same exact item as me. You will have to remove anything in the auction that says you are selling "Facebook likes". Say something in the title like, "How to get more people to your social media fan page" then when they click the link, have the listing say something like, "Learn how to get an abundance of followers to your blog and social media page with this easy to use manual." Do you see how the word "blog" takes the attention away from what you are really selling, but is still understood by the buyer that it involves a social media page? Buyers will know that "page" means Facebook. You can even say something like, "Instructions on how to get more people to see your product on your social media page." The "get more people to see your product" makes it sound like you are focusing on helping the buyer sell a product, rather than getting "likes". The buyer knows that this listing is about getting traffic to their social media page, but ebay thinks it's a manual. See what I mean? Sort of like dog-whistling in politics. You tell a lie that sounds good enough to satisfy the masses (ebay), but you let lobbyists (the buyer) in on the scheme by using certain words that reveal to them what you are really doing (selling). So say you are selling "Facebook likes" without saying it.


When they buyer buys the item, send them an email of the "manual" with step by step "instructions" on what they need to do next to get the likes. That way, they really did get a "manual" and they can't dispute it. You can even write in the subject line "Manual of Instructions" to make it really seem like it is a manual. Package it up like a real manual.


When I sold coupons on ebay, I could not put that I would email it to the customer in the listing. I could not say anything about email. I had to remove that word from the listing. Ebay would flag it and say no virtual items. So instead, I put "free shipping" on the listing and that bright orange circle would pop up next to the photo. That was enough to get the buyers attention. The buyer would automatically email me after the sale and say they wanted it emailed to them because they were doing their online shopping right then and needed the coupon now. Ebay really thought I was offering free shipping, but the buyer saw free shipping as an indicator to tell me they wanted it emailed. I was able to tell the buyer the coupon would be emailed without saying it. And my listings did not get removed after that.

I have 2 accounts so I thought I would make a little money from reselling. I think because my account is a few years old that they havent flagged me.
 
eBay is pretty strict nowadays to this type of offers, not to mention the fact you have to pay a fee to list your service.
