Is it normal to put in 18+ hours/day and make no money?! Day after day after day after...

Just keep on going, find a method your comfortable with and work your way up, the first $ you see is great progress, then just scale and scale and scale.

What are you working at and you had no results until now? Maybe you're just working on the wrong project, method..idk...give some more details, usually there is a solution for everything.

Well that depends on what you're trying to do.

But lets say you're doing for example PPD then yes it takes some time from the start (if you're a beginner of course) to get the hang of it until you can produce some income.

Even people that work on sites like oDesk and eLance have problems from time to time, its a massive competition that involves a lot of aspects in order to get a job.

Just keep plugging away.. when your sites or videos or whatever method it is you're doing are ranked and you're making some nice residual income you'll look back and think it was all worth it ;)

When you say "Work", do you mean actual focused activities that make you more money like writing new articles, making and uploading videos, making new content to syndicate, expanding your social network or do you mean checking your paypal and email every 15 minutes for 18 hours after posting 2 videos on youtube and one article on ezine? Be specific.

There's nothing wrong with being a workaholic.... but being a workaholic that's not making any money, then maybe something's not quite adding up.

Its normal... i used to spend 18 hours/day and earning big fat ZERO...well that was my time of research and learning about IM stuff. When you feel most exhausted and tired...just remember, you need to invest some effort for success....hard work will pay off! trust me.

The response I can give heavily depends on what you are trying to do in those 18 hours per day. If you are trying "free" methods (free ways to get traffic and promote pay per lead or pay per sale products) I highly suggest giving that up until you have investment capital. If you are using "paid" methods (paying for quality traffic to a sales page for conversion) then you need to rethink your sales copy strategy and who is visiting your site through the ad network.

You currently are NOT working smart, smart as in working less but at a higher caliber of understanding and knowledge of your current target project.

If you are doing everything for free you better damn well be a god among men. Nothing done "free" is of any value. Companies hire other companies to spam the internet daily about how wonderful their products are. I highly suggest that you look up the EA scandal that happened on Reddit where a Ex employee was found "promoting" useless crap about TOR (Star Wars The Old Republic) and other EA games. Same thing goes for Google and Microsoft, people hired to spam useless crap about how "wonderful" their newest money making turd is on the market.

So if you can provide more information than simple asking a incomplete question then maybe we can help you. Some of my old High School and College friends work 18 hours a day at multiple jobs and make absolute shit in pay. If you consider that they break their ass at their jobs for less than $25 per hour and work 18 hours a day then you will find it is not worth it.

Thanks everyone, this venture into IM has been just that, a wonderful and frustrating adventure...being pulled in hundreds of directions at once bc there is so much out there that I want to jump in and try, while trying to learn how not to be too spammy.
today, in the morning, I worked on installing and setting up the quick fire bot, made 7 quick stumbleupon accts and the 2 .csv files to load up, which included spinning the descriptions for about 19(?) sites I wanted to promote. Watching it run was so wonderful and made the work before a lot more meaningful, being that there weren't any syntax errors, just 2 sites with broken links that, I guess, click bank yanked. No worries on them though, they were my least visited sites.
then, I was trying to buy that one gig that one guy put up for the 2x money back guarantee on keywords and long tail keywords that were supposedly so good that you didn't need backlinks. Small struggle trying to order since the op was down. Boo.
then worked on a Facebook page and realized that this one product had a lot of content, so started building a blog for it, while updating my other blog labels with the google trends hot searches for the day.
then, of course, my mom called, interrupting my work zone, and there's always something...usually when you tell people you work from home, they think...oh, she has ALL the time in the world so I can ask favors of her! You wouldn't believe last week ... It was supposed to be a nice quiet day with no meetings or outside plans... Would you believe, 9 crazy interruptions...wt?!
Yes, I checked my click bank a couple times after my stats took a nice peak after pinging them with 5 different pings...
so, I'm not sitting around doing nothing...there is not enough time in a day or even week!! I'm constantly researching something, installing a new tool, setting up a new blog or Facebook page, tending to currently set up ones...and a whole lot more.
phwaaaa...hope that wasn't too much to swallow, sorry I was so vague earlier. It's ready or famine friends! Feast or famine!

It depends where you put in the 18+ hours of work.

Search for a method in making money section and find one that you are comfortable with or learn the method and do it.You will see the results for sure even if its not too soon.

Never Give up.

I'm thinking that it will be a frantic demand on time until I hit the sweet spot!
thanks for the pointers and encouragement to hang in there and not give up

When i first started i literally worked the whole day (sometime without sleeping) most of my time back then was reading and learning , i spent like 3-4 months without earning anything (well maybe few $ from different networks that i couldnt even withdraw lol ) so you can see that what are you doing Its pretty normal :) (for me at least)
My advice for you is to browse this forums and try few methods and stick with the one you like , even you make just 10$ from it , scale that method , and try to make it unique and this will get you somewhere (there are like tens of fields that you can choose from (CPA-Website flipping - Domain flipping (i remember reading a thread here about how to find high page rank domains you can start finding some and flipping them) - PPC (if you know what are you doing) - WSO's -Start your own BST thread on something you are good at , the sky is the limit buddy , its not hard , maybe its time consuming at start but believe me IT TOTALLY WORTH IT
You can also try freelancing (even you don't know programming, you can bid on some easy projects)
Best of luck

That is what happen when you get information overload. My first journey on IM start with stating my weekly target income. Once it's clear how much my target is, I will find a method that is proven and working. I see what I can do, I do the micro-works myself, I repeat and evaluate the process all over again until I get my first income.

Do you evaluate your work progress ? If not, do it right now.

go on fiverr, start writing articles, 18 hours = 20 articles, that's 80 bucks
one week - $560
a 30 day month - $2400

How hard can it be? Once you have some money to play with, then look for easier ways to make money, because writing articles for 18 hours straight is as tough as it comes, but still beats working the mines

Good luck

Ha! Yeah, I have several fiverr gigs that have never seen the light of day, and that's with a gig exchange also! I tried putting up really stupid gigs, and some decent ones also...trying to hit each extreme. No bites, not even views!
glad I'm tenacious bc nothing is working...my hustle has no rustle...
