Clickbank Vendor confused about promoting it properly

Hello,

I'm a clickbank vendor and have a product up in a self help niche. When I first created the product I thought of just making a good website, ranking it on google with some SEO and make money. But it wasn't easy like not at all.
I never really cared about affiliates and stuff because I didn't know how all of this works. Now its been more than 1.5 year since the product is on CB marketplace and I just had 2 sales. Yes I know this is very very bad. One sale was because of PPC(adwords). I got 1 sale with about 40-50 clicks. But PPC is a pain in the butt coz I am no expert in it and Google adwords always has problems with CB. And the second sale was because of organic google traffic.
Now if I want rankings for my website I will require a lot of funds and its kinda hard coz the websites in the top 10 of google are high authority ones. Also targetting long tail keywords wont be very profitable as the exact match searches are too low.
I currently have about 9-10 affiliates who are just promoting it giving me about 50 hops a month max.
Now I am thinking of adding an affiliate page and stuff and promoting it among affiliates and people with lists.
So first I need to add a few banners right? other than that what am I supposed to do? I wanna nail it this time with at least 10-20 sales a month. I know its not a very big target but I wanna start something right now.
Affiliates get about 70% commission so it will be a good deal to promote a 39$ product where you get 27.3$ per sale.

Why don't you also promote it yourself?
Make a blog about your product and bring traffic to it just like any other affiliate. I think that 50 hops/month from 10 affiliates is nonesense. You could get 50 hops per day by yourself.

Yes I agree, try to get people with lists to promote your product. But you will probably have to find them manually, they probably won't come to you for nothing.
Yes add banners and other affiliate things. They can be useful. But as an affiliate, I rarely use them.

10 to 20 sales per month can be easily reached if your product is of any good. When you reach it, start aiming for 10-20 sales per day

Something you set up and run yourself rather than going with say Clickbank; at this stage, I wouldn't recommend it, IMO it is for more advanced IMers

Promotion is always the hardest part, no matter what your product is. Don't give up on Adwords, there's Bing too, set aside small amount of $$$ and see if you can make it work. Create good Youtube video, upload, buy views, buys links to that video, etc. Then create more videos, different keywords, rinse and repeat.

I already have a youtube video but yt traffic isn't converting too well. Also Adwords is suspending accounts and stuff so thats a pretty hard thing to do.

What is the product? You aren't going to get any positive feedback unless people know what it is you are talking about. Sales page link?
