hrefer is really good, only reason I was still paying for xrumer personally. I quit using xrumer now as I don't think it is really effective any more

Hrefer was and still kaput. The worst parser ever made. Well, it use to work 5 years ago, but there're no updates. so basically its a dead cow
There's another parser/scraper on the market - cost about $50, and one guy even sell it "pre-installed" on VPS, so it works like a charm.
The Xrumer is very dirty machine, always evolving to newer securities measures etc. There're cracked versions on nulled forums, and with a bit of research you might have
Also, there's something similar to Xrumer, but 4 times cheaper.

What link speeds are you guys getting with proxies? I have private proxies which I personally sell so I know they are good and when I run xrumer it starts off great at like 900 links/min then just keeps declining all the way down to 30 links/min and from what I noticed most of threads are just getting stuck on "working..."

because of proxy sucks)
only hardcore - no proxy. and don't forget use short proxy update time
