So yesterday I was watching some news and enjoying my coffee. :) When I go the idea to check if there was a domain name available. . . Now I am not going to give the domain name out here but I can give good ideas to what I picked up.

I got a domain name (area-code-of-state)book.com

So something like 315book.*com

Now, I seem to have a problem where I buy domains with out thinking and damn the list is getting big. lol

So I played around with a few ideas, and most of all thought about if I use it will FB come emailing me telling me how "book" in a url name is trademarked?

So far no ideas have stood out other than making it a kind of "call for good time" site, where people submit pictures and stuff, but that has been done.

Maybe seeing that the state for this domain is a large travel place, I could make it a booking and flight buying site where I send traffic to hotels and places the book flights?

----

Well any ideas would be good, and maybe some input if FB can come asking me for the domain?

If not, I checked a few and there are a lot of states that can still be used. Its a small domain so should be easy for people to remember.

FB can't take the domain or something. Book is a book, not Facebook...

Thanks, I was not sure but I think I remember them doing something with people that had names close to their name, but I could be 100% wrong

The booking/reservations/coupon offers idea has the most room for expansion.

Would only really work if you were able to get a few sites together. Ie pick ten towns around that area and reg up (town namebook)so you have a network of sites with the same brand able name.

Only if you want to expand your domain portfolio though.

If it's Facebook-area code - well, it's possible. Book is just a word and can be used by bookstores, libraries, etc.
I think it's okay to use even something like Assbook.com

Very good idea, maybe change it up a little and use sub-domains seeing that I have checked a few towns just now and all are spam sites.
