I've always thought that's its a rule that you must have a JRvip account, in good standing to have a bst thread?

I've seen the odd people with a bst but clearly allowed the subscription to fall off.

I personally think that if you have a bst then you have to keep that JRvip ongoing, damn this forum can generate enough sales to cover it

Just my thoughts and maybe this is something that's monitored?

I dunno. I think it's better to have a period where the BST is in "limbo". Meaning, not removed, but if the Jr.VIP isn't renewed within a week, the thread will be removed. Lots of people forget to renew it - it's not their fault.

Limbo is fine, people go on holidays blah blah

Not renewing is not a mistake though, it is their fault, how can you not notice?

Limbo? Its a subscription as far as i know. Totally agree with Wannabee here.

Rules are rules and you need to be a jrvip to start a bst so why not a jrvip while running one. So much money is made, its only logical...

I think I know what he means, say your sub slips off and you go away on holiday for 10 days then its hardly your fault blah blah

Perhaps the thread could get closed, I think deleting the thread is too harsh :)

Agreed with Wannabie. If you have a BST, you're making some money, and it only makes sense
to carry on with your membership.

Either way, have a jrvip membership and keep trading or don't pay the subs (which helps keeps the forum going) and close/delete the business

I just don't think that you should be allowed to carry on with a thread if you can't be bothered to have a jrvip account. I don't think its lack of the mods work, they do a bloody good job and one that I wouldn't ever want to do ;)

I think having it as a rule or even automated would keep on top of it, surely it could be done?

Why not? If this can be automated, a friendly reminder say a week in advance should be enough to buzz the Jr. VIP.

I think thats a fair comment to be honest.

You can't by an advert if the local paper and expect the next month for free just because you 'forgot'

Last time when my jr.vip sub ended i was downgraded to the pool of regular members. The color difference made me feel like i have lost something big in my life.TBH i was running out of funds and finally made jr.vip again, thankful to one great person who helped me with funds to turn blue. Now i have to find a day job soon to keep contributing to the great forum BHW:D

good idea .

o0h but i am still a yellow power member ;)

Agreed the thread should be closed but only after 7 days or so. Some people forget the renew their jr VIP membership and they do upgrade after they notice.

Yeah! this should be implemented..I've already seen 3-4 BSTs that were started by Jr.VIPs but they're not now for a long time!

Totally agree on this one - A week or two is more than enough

However, is there anyway to check when it runs out via bhw?

agreed, my sub expired about 4 months ago, and i refused to touch
or post in my sales thread and i took my sigs out until it was paid for
as i new i would be break the rules, no vip rank = no sig no sales =

took me 7 days to fix but i alerted a mod first - but i still left my
sales threads alone and removed my sig till i had renewed .
as a seller you should no the rules. i had just banked a few hundred $
when i went yellow and my pp was empty, thankfully 1 of my subs
loaned me the 116$ to get back to blue, and the money was returned
within a week.

if they havnt payed say a month after it expired, they should be sent
a polite pm from the mods reminding them a privilege of a bst or sales
thread requires a donor/vip renewal and that without it they dont comply
to sell or advertise on bhw . any seller knows this is the rule.

maybe we could compile a list of those who have expired and forward
it to the mods/owners, there busy enough without going through sales
threads, would save them alot of time.
