How to protect WordPress?

Hey there everyone!

After reading more about the WordPress, I found out that it's quite vulnerable to the hacking attacks. Now I am wondering if there is any way to protect my website? I mean there are some plugins and I have them installed, but if I was a hacker, I would first try to exploit those plugins so I can get easier access to someone's website.

So, does anyone have any good advices on protecting my WP Website? I really want to put a lot of time and effort in it to make it big, so I don't want to lose it all of sudden.

Use BulletProof Security along with Wordfence. Both plugins are free and must-have for WP.

Wordfence has done good for me & my clients sites. In combination with renaming wp-admin & not using "admin" as username..

Never install any cracked plugins/themes unless you are sure they aren't malicious. It's very easy way to get backdoors on peoples sites.

You can add password to wp-admin directory via bulletproof security and I think it's better than renaming wp-admin directory.

I've never quite had a problem with hacking attempts, but I would say the easy solution is just change your password regularly. Maybe once every month.

If you use something like phpcipher, you can use their built-in licencing management system to control it.
