Anyone heard of this? Do you know what impact it will have and who will be hit by it? Probably not But then you know it is coming. G is saying that it will hit blackhat linkbuilders hard this time...

This update is to try and target more black hat web spam. The new Penguin 2.0, which is the name Google uses internally for the next gen Penguin, will be much more comprehensive than Penguin 1.0 and it will go deeper and have a larger impact than the original.

I think it will hit sites that accept web spam and this will hit the money sites indirect. I post 100s blog posts each day and about a week ago (last 5 days) I get many accounts suspended - I think they trying to prevent penalty. 2 of my banned accounts was paid - livejournal and typepad. The sites orbs and blogimate don't accept new free registrations. All this in about few days from sites I never have a problems ago (use them from about year).

Will have improved webmasters help in google's webmasters tools - for hacks, viruses, negative SEO.

Google want high quality content, but the way he can understand content's quality is the same - tracking time spent on the site, bounce rate, returned visitors, social signals ...

Why does everyone keep saying this? lol. How would anyone prepare themselves for something they have no control over changing? lol. If the new Penguin smells out your previously built backlinks (which I'm assuming it will for a lot of this community), you'll get a penalty. There's really no way around it at this point.
