How do you know if Google banned you?
Ebay?

Etc. Is there a tool or website that tells you? Or, do you just search for your website and find a tumble weed and some dust with the good, the bad, and the ugly theme playing in the background?

Banned from ebay is pretty obvious. They email you and tell you.
As far as Google, do you mean having a site banned from search results or being banned from Adsense?

you need to get a 'webmaster' account with google and list all of your sites as well.
Code:
https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=sitemaps&passive=true&nui=1&continue=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fwebmasters%2Ftools%2Fdashboard&followup=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fwebmasters%2Ftools%2Fdashboard&hl=en

then if there is any issue? like someone claiming your site is an 'attack' site? you will be contacted.

I think it would be pretty obvious due to the sounds of emails you would receive and the silence that would slowly descend over what you once called a business. You will notice that you can only hear the wind blowing in your ears. You type in your domain name on google and a loud siren goes off for a few seconds then fades away along with your web page fading away to a video of the punks at google laughing at you because they banned you and hacked your site. For LIFE!

Really, I don't know. What Rhino said sounds good.

I love your posts pianist boy! You know I'm just kidding.

to check if site is banned from goolge

search at google
Code:
site:www.yoursite.com
if you don't see at results your site , then you are banned

To the above poster:

Also try it w/o the www., as your site may be indexed without it.

Example: One of my sites has only 4 pages indexed with the www., but it's got 13,874 without it.

Thanks polos. BTW, do you know if there is a list of the commands for google?

example: site:"yoursite.com"

I've seen different commands but it would sure be nice if I knew more of them.

I would google them myself if I knew WHAT to google.

For other examples get a google webmaster's account. You can submit a sitemap and view crawl errors. Its handy to have.
