Hello all! I have a few questions regarding tier building. I used the search function before posting this to make sure my questions haven't been asked already.

I understand SEO and how to effectively building links but my question is more a personal question. I understand tier 1 consists of web 2.0, article directory, social bookmarks, manual comments on high PR related websites. I understand tier 1 connects to the money site. My question is whether tier 2/3/4 is necessary. Some people say use tier 1 and for tier 2 just blast spam comments from scrapebox/ gsa to your tier 1 links. I've also notice others do tier 1, than do the exact same thing for tier 2 but use spun content, than blast the tier 2 with spam comments from gsa/ scrapebox. Which is the best way to go? Is there any way to automate tier 2 or do we have to spin web 2.0s and manually create more web 2.0s/ article directories/ social bookmarks?

So how do you guys build your tier 2/3 backlinks? I understand tier 1, it has to be manual since it leads to our money site. How do we build our other tiers and do they have to be exactly like our tier 1? Thank you for your answers.

Also, forgot to ask this, how many web 2.0s, social bookmarks, videos, pdf submissions, ETC. do we need and how many for tier 2 and 3? Basically I'm asking if I made 100 web 2.0s for tier 1, how many social bookmarks, videos, etc would I have to make to keep it all in sync? And how many web 2.0s, social bookmarks, etc would be best to use for tier 2/3? Like the ratio?

It's a good question right? Like you're probably in the same boat. We've read about how it works but looking for the finer details.

Multitier campaign always give ranking boost for me..Insted of building more tier1 links, I prefer to powerup them with tier2/3 [I don't go down below tier3..3 tier campaign is max]

I consider contextual links as pure tier1..while non contextual links are secondary links

So my tier diagram will look something like this

Ser_Tiers.jpg

This is diagram from GSA user RON...I have similar structure..once you understand tier link building, you can modify according to your needs and toolsets..

Thank you for the answer. :)

Sorry for a double post I had a few more questions. So I took a look at the diagram, I just wanted to make sure I'm on the right page. Tier 1 connects to money site, tier 2 connects to tier 1, tier 3 connects to tier 2. What is tier 1A and tier 2A? Why are they not in tier 2/3?

My second question is more of a personal preference for link building. Assuming I'm doing all the social stuff such as twitter followers, fb likes, twitter retweets, fb post like, google+1s, where can I look for more social signals? I know of digg, stumbleapon, pintinerest (theres bots for this, maybe it would be wise to hop on board?), reddit, etc. Is there a faster way to post on all of those social networks or do I need to keep continuing to do it manual?

Next question, I have 50 articles unpublished but written for my niche. Should I use all 50 articles (400-600 words each, unique) for ALL web 2.0s Tier 1? What about tier 2 web 2.0s? Do people manually do these or spin them? Also when I do a web 2.0 post on wordpress for example, do I do other posts with that blog or is 1 post okay?

Next question, If I were to write 50 web 2.0 articles for tier 1. What is the ratio for social bookmarks/comments/wikis for tier 1/2/3 for a general rule of thumb? For example, if I wrote 50 web 2.0s on tier 1, should I have 3 web 2.0s per web 2.0 on tier 1? Have 5 social bookmarks per web 2.0? That is what I'm trying to ask. Sorry for the questions. I've been asking around and looking it up via search but no luck on details.

An easier example of the above is this...

Tier 1: 50 web 2.0s, 150 social bookmarks, 5 videos, 5 pdf submission
Tier 2: 150 web 2.0s, 450 social bookmarks, 15 videos, 15 pdf submissions
Tier 3: blast tier 2 with wiki backlinks/ comments (or should I skip this step to not get de-indexxed?)

My question is whether tier 2/3/4 is necessary
yes

Some people say use tier 1 and for tier 2 just blast spam comments from scrapebox/ gsa to your tier 1 links
gsa can be better quality tool than scrapebox. In gsa you can setup pr filter, obl fliter etc. In result your tier 2 can be medium quality.

So how do you guys build your tier 2/3 backlinks?

When i make quality backinks it looks like:
Tier 1 - 50-100 high PR sites (pr 4+) blogs, video sharing, document sharing, social for money site etc.
Tier 2 - 500-1000 high PR(pr4+) web 2.0 blogs, bookmarks etc.
Tier 3 - few k lower PR web 2.0 blogs/profiles on social platforms like elgg, oxwall etc.
Tier 4 -shitload of XR profiles, bookmarks, wikis etc.
Tier 5 - Scrapebox

For T1, T2, and sometimes T3 i use only selfmade tools (yes i dont create T1 manually)

Tier 1: 50 web 2.0s, 150 social bookmarks, 5 videos, 5 pdf submission
Do you really want to blast your money site with 150 shitty bokmarks? I dont think.

Goal in quality link building is:
- rank site with as low tier 1 links as possible.
- you cant rank with low number of T1 links = you cant give enough power to your T1.
- keep shitty links (low PR bookmarks, wikis, xr, scrapebox) as far from your money site as possible. Now you maybe think "wtf? bookmarks (low PR) and wikis are low quality?"... do you think that links everyone can create with tools avaliable to everyone are high quality? No, such links are spammed to death in most cases.

I dont say shitty links dont work. Its possible to rank site with shitty links but you need to know how;)

How safe is it to do 3 web 2.0s, manual blog commenting and a guest post a day for tier 1? Once I've done that for a week or two, than move on to tier 2?

I would wait on building a lot of tiers and see how the penguin 2.0 update roles out, before you start creating all those tiers

Penguin 2.0 rolled out. How has this changed the above methods? Also does anyone have answers on sidewinders, naked URL, longtails for after the update? For example, we make 50 web 2.0 articles, how many have to be of each? Also do we need to make side winders, longtails, naked url and brand for everything we do? Meaning do we need to make social bookmarks to individuals parts of our website not just the normal naked url? Also, how do we find the best web 2.0s, article directories, and such for our tier 1?

Sorry for all these questions, just concerned after the update.
