Domain on hold: what to do now?

Tonight I had my domain put on hold by namecheap.

I suspect this might be because of the use of trademark logos, because of the content (a keygen), because I was using a "facebook like to download" script or any combination of these.


Whois says

Status: UPDATE PROHIBITED
Status: DELETE PROHIBITED
Status: RENEW PROHIBITED
Status: SERVER HOLD

What now?
The domain is not reachable but I don't really care of this domain.
All I want is to make sure no legal consequences will happen if I leave things as they are.

It's not probably because of "facebook like to download". I am afraid, you can't do anything about it. Try contacting namecheap but I don't think it is going to help. Should be a lesson for you

Namecheap said my ticket has been forwarded to the corresponding department (legal and abuse, I suppose).

I don't really want to do anything.
All I need is to know if I can stay safe by doing nothing.

Domain has been live for like 5 days.
It couldn't have made too much harm to the world.

I have never had a problem with Namecheap, probably because I try to do legal business as long as possible. No registrar in this world can help you if you are doing illegal business. I have heard people saying that go with internet.bs, but that's probably bs too...

Try changing the registrar if you want too, but you should really look for a legal (or something that looks legal to say the least) business in future...

Details are not my real ones and whois guard is on, but you know... My IP address is known to namecheap.

The path you have chosen didn't work out so well. Namecheap is going to suspend your account. If you want to continue to use namecheap you'll need to make a new namecheap account with a new name, address, phone number, credit card, etc...

If you try this again, don't use a similar website name. Go with something in the domain name, that is not heavily trademarked. Try offshore hosting as well.

I am pretty sure the issue is not with the domain name, but more probably with the logo I use in my keygen, along with the fact it's actually a keygen.

I am using offshore hosting, that is why they hit my domain and not the host.
Infortunately internet.bs does not accept paypal any longer so I am struggling to find a reliable offshore registrar.

More in general, although I am very grateful for all these responses, it looks like I haven't been very clear with my question.

To be clear, what I am asking is not whether I can buy a new domain etc... but if I can reasonably stop crapping my pants and none will come after me legally if I just let it go and don't do it again.

Again, not using my real details, but I am afraid they will start investigating throug my IP address (which is offshore anyway).
