The material posted on this site is amazing but as I read the post here there seems to be a common thread to most - capitalize on a technique until the hole is closed because of massive abuse. Example, Scribed was an amazing site for getting a site listed almost instantly till the fine folks over at Stompernet broadcast it to the world and Scribed killed all outbound links. So my question is are most of you just looking at building throwaway sites that bring in a few bucks while it last or are you trying to build on-going businesses that will pay big returns in the long term. It seems like you can make plenty of money either way. Is part of the appeal always being out on the edge?

I'm doing both.
Some make money short-term, most for the future.
If you only go for short-term you can end up in trouble, because you won't know your income after a few months........

I have had some success with BH techniques but am looking for WH ways to build a steady income.

I am getting close to narrowing down my choices.

I did strict wh for almost 10 years and barely made squat. It was my passion but reality set in. I do 90% bh now and do very well. I do not look at it as a long term business plan but at my age, I don't need to (probably about the same as uptownbulker if his lyrical quote is any hint...lol)

It's like Rapid Service (Fast Food) vs. Fine Dining or Commercial Plant Nursery vs. Local Garden Center.

In other words, it is what you make of it. Just never confuse a black hat METHOD for a blackhat business.

Thats very interesting, would love to learn more.

I have a BH site that is paying pennies at the moment whilst I concentrate on creating my new WH business.

I will then focus on BH to increase BH income and spend that on WH. The WH will then hopefully pay my rent
