Warez Forum Getting 10k Visits - Should i Trash It?

As the title says, i have a warez forum getting 10k visits a month and it has an "excellent" 2 dictionary word .com

I got it a long time ago, it was dead so i tossed it on my server and forgot about it. To my surprise it's come alive over the months without me knowing, for instance there's been 87 members online in the past 24 hours and will likely hit 15k visits this month.

I really shouldn't be running this stuff on my US servers, and i have no interest in running a warez forum or getting warez hosting.

Anyone ever parked a warez domain, and got warez traffic to the park page? How much something like that would make?

mate, since people are visiting it despite you not really promoting it, that means the site is good and useful.

Ramp things up with xrumer or something, and get your traffic 10X, then sell it for 10-20k....

If u r getting a lot of traffic its not long before u get screwd for having it on US servers!

Thanks for that, and no it has not been promoted what so ever people are finding it through search and joining/posting. I've heard warez forums aren't the best to monetize, and without good returns i don't think people will pay much.

I found the Yagbu forum for sale at $30k, it's way more popular than mine and everyone laughed at the price due to low revenue.

Hence why i was thinking about the parking option, but if i park it will lose it's indexed pages and traffic will drop. So this one's a toss up.

Get the secret submit method and start posting stuff all over, so whenever people download stuff you make some cash.

There is no law stating you can get introuble for linking to external sites holding warez, that I know of that is. I say pimp it, increase traffic because since you got 10k traffic a month without even knowing, you could get twice that amount. THEN sell it

Dont know if you can get sued? I mean, you might get sued, by they will loose - if you dont have any files on Your server.

Links, poiting to rapidshare, mediafire and so on, is OK.

The same thing about The Pirate Bay. So long they dont store ANY illegal material on the server, its all OK.

But im not so good with the laws in the US, but I suppose it it like that. Pretty wierd if it isnt!

Haha, trust me. They will go free. Im following the whole case (livin in Sweden). And yepp, they will go free.

Very short About the Bittorrent-technology:
What you download, is just small, small fragments (you can call it files), from bigger files. From different sources. Which make, that tpb doesnt have any files on their server.

And do you remember the raid on the tpb-servers in Sweden? Nothing happened. Why? Because the police dont know anything about BT, and thought that the servers contained files (complete files, mp3, movies etc.) Which didnt even existed. But what existed, was just small torrent files. Tons of 'em.

And a tip top the threadstarter: Sell the site. You will probably make some nice money I guess.


Edit: And hmm yeah TPB was a pretty bad example. Because you dont even store any .torrent files on your server. You just give out links, that youve "founded" on the i-net.
So it Should be safe, if the law is made my normal human beings.

The best way to monetize it would be to sutff it or sell it.

Parking a once warez site won't yield great results.
