Hello!

I need someone to optimize my site to increase the load time. I have too many DNS looks ups and its slowing down my site. I also need someone to help create a mobile version. U can use google page speed to check whats making my site slow. I cant post urls so plz PM me.

are willing to shell out a couple of shekels for this job?

Here is some free advise.

1. Download W3 total cache. One of the best plugins for speed and optimization for your wordpress site.
2. Also download WP Smush-it. If you have a lot of images this will crunch them down and reduce the load time when you upload them to your media folder
3. If you have a lot of plugins already installed and running, try to disable the plugins or enable them one by one. Some plugins don't play well with others and could in the end slow your site down.

If all fails, let me know I have a guy that I use for my site, and he is very reasonable in price, has over 6 years in wordpress and css/php experience, and does everything and anything :)

-my 2 cents

What sashablack said and try P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler). it lets you know which plugin is taking the most time during loading. So you can disable them or find a better replacement.

Try pagespeed and yslow to check other factors as well and search google for fixes.

Use a touch optimized theme which can switch to mobile theme on its own without any plugins or try wp-touch plugin.

Weaver Pro is a great theme for what you want, and as was previously mentioned W3 total cache, both of those made a world of difference for me.

Single thing that will significantly improve ur WP speed (besides full page caching) is having it run on a VPS or dedicated server with Nginx instead of Apache and APC (alternative php cache) enabled. Caching helps in most cases but if u want realtime (non-cached) performance you basically need to switch to a vps/dedi with Nginx and APC .

I am also considering using a vps for my site, which do you guys recommend that is both good and doesn't cost a lot?

Man.... THANK YOU! P3 is an awesome plugin!
