Socks N Torrents

Hi all, im needing a little advice with torrents....

First off, would I be burnt alive if I started providing group releases on the torrent networks if I got caught?

Is there a way of using socks to hide the original source so that no one could trace it back to me?

Lastly, would using socks slow my upload rate?

Yes. If you get caught you will be prosecuted. Just like jaywalking and public perversion.

If you upload through a proxy, of course your data rate will be throttled. You're going through another machine.

Thx for the update. Im aware that im going through another machine but would using socks hide my ip from preying eyes? and my upload is about 1mb so if i used a decent socks, would it make much difference...

Im not planning on doing this on a large scale, just the odd good release, probably about twice a week... Would they honestly unleash the dogs of hell on such a small catch like me?
