Ok, so I have been unemployed for about 6 months now. I could go back to find a job but due to some reasons I would rather not disclose here, it's not possible.
A little about me... I have been a programmer since I was a kid (my first Basic program I made when I was 8 years old). I am 31 years old now, have worked for big and small companies, and right now I'm going through the worse phase of my life. I used to make $50/h and right now, I would be happy if I make that per day.
I want to focus on a software I've been developing for the last month but it's really hard to focus on it when you're not earning an income and your savings are decreasing every day.
So I ask BHW members for opinions on what I can do to continue with my software development and in the meantime, earn a survival income on the side. BTW, my total monthly expenses are around U$ 2,000.
What I have done:
1. CPA - Dating, games, email submits. Result: FAIL, no profit
2. Clickbank + Youtube. Result: SUCCESS (made 1 sale, ~$140) but product I was selling got saturated and eventually my campaign died off
3. Elance, Odesk. Result: VERY DISCOURAGING.
4. Offline website development. Result: FAIL. I was asked to develop one Wordpress website. While I am a good developer, I'm not good with design. Also, due to being my first freelancing project, I charged horribly low for a Wordpress Website. And I didn't enjoy doing this kind of work.
This transition of full time work to independent has been very hard for me. I have seen people struggling here with making some money online as well, and I know it won't happen overnight, but maybe someone could point me to the right direction on which I could eventually reach what I want.
What I want to avoid:
1. MLMs
2. Frauds (ie: link cloaking, spam etc)
3. Scam - reason I gave up on CPA so quick was because most of the offers I could find are very scamming.
So I ask experienced BHW members... if you needed to make U$ 50 working online by tomorrow starting from scratch, what would you do?
