Heres the analytics screenies, like i said, ive got a lot more work to do. But once I have built up my facebook, myspace, and bebo.
I currently have 80 friends on myspace (i sent 300 requests today). I currently have 51 friends on facebook (from two days of 50 requests a day). Sending 62 friend requests on facebook now. I have joined to gaming groups.
I expect the traffic to continue increasing at a steady rate as i get more and more people to my blog via facebook/myspace/bebo. The more people i get to visit, the higher the chance they will bookmark it, vote for it on mud ranking sites, vote for it on blog directories etc.
Heres a pic of my traffic stats/sources. ONRPG.com is the most successful for february the 22nd as it was the first social network i started to promote on. The social bookmarks arent bringing in much traffic at all because they are standing at 1 digg or stumble etc:
Heres the second page of traffic sources:
You can see that on the first day of facebook advertising i got a couple of visits. I was only adding friends, not spamming them with links, gotta try and stay under the radar for long term traffic.
Im going to be sending 200-300 invites daily on myspace, and 50 on facebook daily. Havent made a bebo yet. Oh and i also joined the revelation group on myspace, and posted a frappr map on the blog. The blog does need a lot more content.
I haven't made the rev video yet.
The first spike in traffic was because it was a new blog, and i was informing rev players and bhw about it. Then it dropped off as i spent time submitting to blog lists/social bookmarking sites, and i also spent a lot of time with my girlfriend
An important note: After submitting to a lot of bookmarking sites and blog directories a lot of people would just give up if they saw the stats decrease like mine did. But i see this happening a lot when i start a blog, the key is to continue seo'ing/promoting. Submitting to blog directories and bookmarking sites alone wont necessarily get you a boatload of traffic. There's a lot you can do when it comes to promoting/seo, make sure you read bhw.com and other sites like seobook etc before you give up. Once you are happy with the direction in which your traffic stats are going, write down a schedule of what to do, where to do it and when. Then you will have a plan that you can follow each and everytime you want to dominate a niche. Rinse, repeat, build your niche portfolio and zoom in comes the sweet cash.
