Help me find a wifi password!

IMO it's not smart at all, not in this situation. What happens when they get pissed because they can't log in?

A keylogger, like someone mentioned above, would be a much better option. With physical access you could easily tell the anti virus to shut up.

No, my plan meant that they would set the details, so they'd never know.

But actually it was a bit of a joke anyway.

Really I think don't mess around with this, will just cause trouble.

Her parents don't want her to have the password for a reason so just leave it alone. You''ll understand when you have a young daughter of your own.

Remaking the admin interface? lol

This thread is hilarious. 10/10 would read again.

@topic:

Actually no need to even mess with the router.
Why not just buy cheap USB Wlan card and share the cable connection?

Hey! So lately, I've been teamviewing that girl that wants her WIFI password that her parents keep hiding from her. I installed her Teamviewer and opened the CMD ipconfig /all and the link seems to be 192.168.2.1

Matter is, theres already a password set up there and there are no features to show the passphrase. Also, to make everything worse, she runs a computer that doesnt have a WIFI card, so basically, she uses a wire (Shes running a Windows 7). She wants the WIFI password for her cellphone.. Yet, I cannot go into Networks & Settings on the Control Panel because all it shows is the wired connection.

Basically, the 192.168.2.1 is not belkin. Its some ''BELL'' company, a weak company. I got her Google chrome and tried to inspect the element and change the type from password to text but BELL is good enough to put a customized value, so the customized value shows instead of the passphrase.

Because it isnt enough, The WirelessKeyViewer application does not work since she never ever used the WIFI on that computer. I am in need of suggestions at the moment.. I am not specialized in this, but really looking forward to get this fixed!

Son, take the advice from an older, more experienced. man. Get the sex 1st, before you fix her problem.

I thought hacking was against the rules of BHW? Its her parents wifi connection and they do not have to give it out to anyone but people they want to.

It is obviously hacking...? Have you read the topic? I am asking for a LEGITIMATE way to find her WIFI password. I have never asked to bruteforce, or anything that would make everything so complicated.

The only legitimate way is for her to ask her parents for the password.

There is NO LEGITIMATE way for breaking a password.

Get Hiren's boot cd. It comes with a huge list of default wi-fi router passwords.

look on the bottom of the router sometimes the passphrase is there if it is a new router (that is to get INTO the router) then you can check the wifi page in the router for the WEP

You can do a lot of things with physical access. The girl will have to install a keylogger or use her own PC / laptop as a bridge.

Anyway, I wouldn't bother, there's probably a very good reason for her not to have access.

The funniest part about all this is that the chick has this guy waiting on her, ready to do anything for her.

He clearly figures that he will be in her good books if he can solve this problem for her.

Hilarious!
