Hey guys!

I just want to remind people here to not be afraid of asking your competitors or people in the same niche as you for links. I just got 3 PR4 links, one sitewide and two homepage ones from my "competitors" just by asking them nicely (out of 5 asked, yesterday, so I might get a few more). While this is blackhatworld, don't be afraid to ask your competitors for links because in some cases, they don't view you as a competitor at all. In their eyes you're only a guy with a homepage sharing their interests. This took me 5 minutes all in all. Copy paste mail, find their about/contact page and mail it. I found the URLS when checking out my real competitors backlinks.

Of course, this doesn't work in every case. You have to use your better judgement to see if they're friendly or super competitive. (A hint can be to check their blogroll, friends, other links etc etc)

Have a good day.

Yeah, this is true and have been doing this for years. In fact the twenty or so links that I got this way hold way more power than the 1000 I have on irrelevant sites.

exactly. Sometimes you don't have to do much to actually get your links, just ask, you know. I think a lot of people look past this just because they're in the same niche.
