Should I let my blogs expire or sell them?

Hi all,

I have built autoblogs for few years and had made very good money before the G Panda update. However, these blogs have reduced in traffics after the G update so I moved to another bigger project. I still keep some 20 autoblogs plus I manually post unique articles on them now and then. For the last few months, I have been very busy with my other projects and I don?t have time to take care of them, which means I don?t often post new unique articles on these blogs and don?t build backlinks for them, so they have become reduced traffics to very little compared to before. I don?t intend to continue with these blogs and I won?t re-new them.

So what should I do with my blogs now? Should I let them expire or sell them?

If your new project involves link building, your 20 blogs, after cleanup, might be good source of links.

All you need is a good tool to remotely manage/post content to those blogs from 1 place and on schedule you want.

Check blogseries.com - maybe that's the one you could use.

Other than that, you won't fetch a good price if blogs don't produce any income. If money is not the issue (~200 in renewals) I would hate to waste all the effort put into building them up in the first place. Better find use for them.

Some blogs have PR 1, others are PR 0. Some blogs have 2 to 3 years age, some just under 1 year age.

2-3 years is serious age. I would use them as backlink source if all else fails.

trying to sell them can only bring you some money, if they don't get sold they will simply expire..

If you have all those autoblogs in one broad niche, then I believe you'll be able to sell them off to someone who'll use them to link back to their own site. Don't hope for anything more than $20 per blog though. Just my opinion!

Those stats are not really bad. Like FatSteve said, those are good for their backlink value. Do you know any serious players in those niches? If so, ask them if they'd like to buy?

Every time a domain comes up for a renewal analyze its income compared to expense (including time). If its making you a loss and is showing no sign if improvements bin them.

hey I'm in the same boat although mine are not really autoblogs. I have nearly 100 blogs with virtually no income anymore but most are over 5 years old. Not sure what to do with them, don't want to fiddle around selling them for $10 each, too much work.... I really need an idea to get them generating some income?

It is not possible to offer any useful service with the help of these blogs. You can start selling links to different webmasters but that will be like cheating them. In my opinion selling them for whatever you are getting is a better option.

the problem is it takes too long to put a site together, get all the files, clean up any personal stuff etc. then check it, double check everything. this includes downloading database, graphics, files putting it all together as a package could take over 1 hour per site. I would not do this for $20 let alone do it for free sorry.... We need ideas to make our blogs working, if you guys want to donate then that is fine but not everyone is able to do that. I'm actually in debt and struggling myself, sure when I'm better off I can help people and give free things away. I don't mind packaging one site up for some person really desperate and in need etc but I would not do it with a network of sites.
