This is my review on tradetang.com.
I use them last 3 weeks. Buy something that smells like an iPod, sounds like an iPod, looks like an iPod but not an iPod (got what i mean?). LoL. Actually I just want to make a quality check of their service and the item that they will provide.
Even though the item is not as a VERY high quality as expected, it is not that bad too. I mean, the shape and looks is as the same as the real one, but not the software inside. The manual is badly written in English. I guess they just do a direct translation from chinese to English. I need to figure out how it works my self. By the way, I bought a knock off 16 GB Nano iPod 4th generation that cost me only 60 bucks. It is worth for my own use but not to sell it on eBay.
Service wise, as many others has already mentioned, you need to reassure that you are dealing with a legit seller. ASK questions and questions until they get bored and you get satisfied. If they can answer your question within less than 24 hours, most of the time they are legit. Leave those who only answer your question after let say 3 days or a year.
The eScrow system is find. But there is a catch.
If you are not satisfied with the item that you received, dispute as soon as possible. They have this system that if you do not dispute within 2 days, you are considered satisfied and the payment will be released to the seller.

OMG!! I think I'm going crazy..My MAC brushes still not arived and my trace number dont work!! Its a gold member whit only 2 negatieve feedback cause the items was not color marked. I sent a mail to trade*tang service and the supllier but did not get answer yet.
Did you asked them any question before you go and buy them?

I only ask if I really get 5 sets and if the items can be shipped to Holland.
I really did look thru many suplliers on tradetang and this 1 looks really good. But now I'm getting really nervous :sad:
In the mail from tradetang I got another tracenumber than the nummer in "mytang" Both are not traceable
Bytheway name of the supllier is makeup-mac.

If the item get stopped by the custom, they will call the buyer (based on the address and etc). Should this did not happen, maybe our friend here is facing some other problem.

Over here in India I had the same problem with Customs, I usually get my packages in 4-6 days sent via EMS.. but this one EMS package did not show up for like 3 weeks, I got really furious, contacted supplier in singapore... made many calls to EMS centers and I was told that it is was already sent to me.. later after 1 more week I received a letter from Customs stating it was detained and I had to provide some documents, so I had to send all documents Expedited and Finally I got it after another 10 days or so with a lil bit of duty levied..
My Suggestion to everyone is to first check your country's custom laws and duties levied on items, I get mine declared as gift/used items with lesser $ value and usually pay no duty.. Also, customs in some countries like France..Spain are very strict and take a lot of time clearing packages & also put a lot of custom duty.
Ok so I went on tradetang to find a wedding dress I found exactly what I want but I am worried that if I order the wrong size that I'll be stuck with it. I read a few posts and people were saying that you should go for a reputable seller. How do I find this out? What if there is only one seller for the specific dress I want? I'm not worried about brands or rip offs as long as it looks like what I saw on the site, but is it worth the risk of ordering it if it turns out to be completely wrong? Oh ya last question..how secure is it to pay tradetang by credit card? I've never bought anything online except for iTunes

Well, first look at the seller's feedback and second ask the seller if he'd be willing to take the dress back if it doesn't fit.
did you ever receive your stuff yet? I was interested in getting in the make up busines as well. Also if you did receive the goods, what is the quality?
Reading much from the buyer, I am just the saler on Tradetang.com for electronics, honest speak, choosing tradetang is just a way to find more opporunity to working with the oversea purchaser but not for any cheating, as the economic crisis, the market is not stable and limited than before. so... finding more plat for explore the market is just the way to get through the crisis.
I am not oppose that there is really some ruleless seller in China, but not everyone is a cheater, there is still much more norms merchandiser in China. with low cost but still trying to produce the best quality to striving more market.
I just can promise that no matter what plat we put our business in, but we are insist to do the business with conscientious.

i've purchased several items from tradetang until two weeks ago when I was ripped off by one of the sellers that goes by the name of BeautyChoice. I placed an order for some mac makeup on 4/16/09. they took my money but never sent my order. I'm the processing of disputing the claim with tradetang, paypal and my bank. So buyers beware, some of the sellers NOT ALL on this site are trully scammers. I can tell you the names of sellers on this site i've done business with who are truly reputible. BEWARE OF SELLER NAMED BEAUTYCHOICE!!!!!!!!!!
