Servinio - my first thoughts

Hi again folks,

A few of you might have seen my other thread recently asking about free web hosts. I had a look at all the ones that were mentioned on there (and checked out other people's reviews of them online from here and on other forums etc.) and have decided to give Servinio a go.

Although they aren't technically "free", I managed to sign up using their free 6 month trial offer and I have to say, so far so good! No down time, and fairly straightforward to set up my test website on there.

I'll update this thread in due course in case my opinion of them changes but for now it seems to be just what I need. I've probably jinxed myself by saying that now lol but never mind, just an experiment for now and I can't really complain for free.

Servinio is good.. customer support rocks! i like them...altho i changed hosting because more websites.
But.. Servinio FTW!

I never got it why people go with free hosts.

Other people are in control of your site not even to mention the ads that are in front of MY potential $.

Sadly, we canceled the free promotion because of the abuses, it was a waste of time and money, also we might have upset some of users like M1ndfluX, which cosider us to be junk.
We were stupid enough the believe that the people will be honest and they won't abuse. Seems that they you and few others are the fee exceptions. so .. faith in humanity restored :d

i guess i am amongst first of those guys who signed up for servinio and the service is awesome i loved there service and they do they host like a sir no doubt about it when i signed up they don't had the option of choosing servers but now they have and you w0on't find these a lot these days with such hosting for 1.91$ so frankly speaking its amazing.Thanks Mazgalici

I have hosted two sites with servinio, all i could say is they rock. Their customer support is very good and quick.
Wish they implement semi annual billing also.

Lolz sorry bro, but i have never used any free hosts just for the record and the reasons i already gave.

Why the hell would someone use a free host when we are in this business for starters.

I think that anybody that cant afford a few bucks each month shouldnt be making websites for a living anyways.

Sorry to be harsh, but its just how i think about it.

Sorry we don't ignore, we are based on USA and Europe so we can't. If you have any question please raise a ticket. We can't answer here, the BHW admins will say that is a BST thread and isn't that. We will have a BST soon.

There is one thing i like most about servinio, they rock when it comes to customer service!!!

My personal experience with Servinio, in started when i shifted my site to servinio there server work extremly fast, quickest responce time, quickest edit post delete stuff on word press but later on they are like hell slow, whenever i edit any of my post and click update it 60% said server time out. i thought it was my connection issue , i used on my friend system in US, it gave the same error their too. i think there is something hidden like in starting they gave your full server resources so you fall in love with them but later on they put limit on your account so you cannot work properly . i know from now on my hosting will be suspended for writing truth about them, Sorry but this is reality am facing. there support is very good and fast but if you disturb them too much they get angry and simply said move your hosting somewhere else in response . i faced so many problems after their 1 time rude reply. that is the reason i didnt contact them again for my problems as they are too much busy with other stuff. and 8 cores with 32gb ram? whats that for ? if we cannot edit delete open or post simple wordpress things ?

you won't be suspended and the servers are slow, the only slow account is yours because you are abusing the resources and the linux from http://cloudlinux.com limits your resources to not slow the others.
And about the support

if you don't seems to understand what we are saying. Just post here the domain and let the other see how slow and bad is the server and I will also tell them how much resources are you using.

You made 18 tickets in a few days (every ticket has at least 3 replies from our side) and you also wrote 5 emails.

you are using a lot of resources (the big usage is the CPU which isn't displayed there)

kINDLY clear 1 thing, when i shifted to your hosting company why your servers were working like lightning speed, and now they are not. when i first used your server i was telling every friend of mine that servinio server are extremly good come and join that hosting etc etc., and i didn't change anything anywhere in my sites am just posting stuff on daily basis. even all cron jobs were working very fast before , but now they are not.Why reason ?

because you added more and more content and subdomains

if the server is soo damn slow how you could use 38GB of bandwidth in 9 days?
Just ask the BHW guys how much bandwidth they have consumed in April on their sites. Your site was slow at some point because if we didn't limit your sites could bring down the entire server and we already explained that. Is an auto-protection measure
