Noob starting from basically nothing.

My Story, It is quite long sorry.


Hello. My name is Brian. I've created this thread to inspire me & keep me motivated. As have many others from what I have seen.


I have been looking into IM for some time now. However the job I used to have was pretty good. Between that & my personal life I was left with little time to put any real work into it. But last September I was in a car accident that left me paralyzed from the waste down. Thankfully I had a job at the time that allowed me to keep working. I was a sales rep for Lilyann cabinets. Mostly it involved phone sales work. I also designed with 20/20 auto cad. Which I have my own hacked 9.0 version. The newest version out last time I checked. The program itself is worth thousands. The one IM marketing aspect I did do was Craig's list. I became pretty good at posting ads. But my boss was a character & I ended up quitting because he stole almost 2k in commissions from me & gave them to his son (family owned company). So now I have all the time in the world to do IM as I have no job & my personal life is pretty much non-existent now. I have been a computer savvy person my whole life. When I was 10-14 I built clan websites for video games like Diablo & other things like that off of pure html, as no real tools were available at that point. However that was 15 years ago & my knowledge has pretty much all slipped away.


I am pretty smart & a fast learner at anything. Although I am a much better visual & hands on learner instead of reading, I have already learned a great deal from this forum. However it is jumbled & scattered information. There's no direct path & no real starting point. My income is very limited at this time & I have basically nothing to start up with. I would be able to buy a domain or two, but that would be it. I have to save about everything I have at this point to live on & keep my home.


I have spent a lot of hours since I joined this forum reading & researching. I've seen a lot of ideas for ways to start with no money, but I've run into walls with many of them. Also a lot of them are just too old, or turn out to be something that isn't legit. I'm not looking for a miracle way, or a get rich quick scheme. I just want something that will pan out & do well for me. I don't care how much work it takes. But my knowledge is pretty noob.

Web hosting with up to 5 domains (I have 2 domains which aren't built yet. One is my review blog)
Familiar with the basics of word press & have Thesis 1.85 & a lot of other paid themes.
Basic knowledge of how seo works (I've ranked a site on 3rd page of Google)
Free VPN from VPNReactor & Cyberghost
Auto Blogger
Basic social media stuff (youtube, FB,Twitter) however I haven't done anything with them yet as far as IM goes.

My current plan at the moment is to research more on BHW & see what my best options are. I have a few ideas from some of the posts on the forums. Here they are. Dots are replaced with commas.

I have an account on postloop that has been approved to start posting with a 4.10 rating. My current plan is do to that for half the day or more, until they payout in 6 days or so to get a little bit of extra start-up cash. While spending the other half of my day researching until I figure out exactly what I want to do. If anyone has any ideas or help for me it would be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to do whatever it takes, as this is probably my best & last chance to be really successful given my circumstances. If anyone has any better ideas for start up cash, or better methods I could start using right away to earn some money. Please point me in the right direction.

I will be making daily updates to let you all know how things are going. Any help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated.

Go, buy a domain and hosting. Start a blog about nail care if you can (or outsource). Post at least 1 QUALITY article a day. In a year, you can make $2-$5K/monthly from that blog along with a good backlinking strategy

I just checked all 3 URLs you mentioned. Might work, but I'm not sure..

What I suggest is you learn doing keyword research and "free SEO". From free seo I mean, you should master the methods to build links yourself. That way, you don't spend any money on buying links, and all the sales are pure profit. I know this doesn't sound like a secret method, but it plain works and not too hard once you have put in enough research and have some patience.

Thanks I appreciate the encouragement! I'm not giving up. I have nothing else really to do with my time & I want this bad. I'm going to devote at least 14-15 hours a day to this.

Appreciate the info. I believe they would all work. Although they might need some slight twists. I understand the basics of SEO & back linking. I have a back linking chart that should work very well as it is from here, it's new & quite in depth. I'm going for you tube & adsense now, however I will be posting in a lot of blogs, & also writing articles possibly & back linking from them as well as from social media & other sources.

Hey all. Wanted to post an update last night, but I was really tired so I got some sleep. I spent the first half of my day yesterday on post loop. Which I wish I would have done my research first because I found what I want to start doing. & yes it is another you tube story since it is currently the hot topic I see lol. Although I will be starting out with ad sense & working my way up to other methods. I found a awesome guide to you tube & ad sense so I am going to see how it works out. I have a really good feeling about this.


Here are the steps I took today towards You tube & Ad sense.


1. Found my niche I want to use & created another g mail account & 2 you tube accounts relating to my niche. I used another email I already have for my white hat seo you tube account. As it is already linked up to an approved ad sense account.


2. Created a twitter & Face book business page for my main you tube money maker.


3. Signed up for yt max, U2b Views, View Tornado, & share you tube videos. I can get a lot of free views from these & I also put a little money into it. I know I said I wasn't gonna spend money, but I figured putting a little bit in would help a great deal.


4. Signed up for stumbled upon & digg & a few other blogs relating to my niche.

Might not seem like a lot, but I also spent a lot of time learning about each of these steps & future steps. Also figuring out the exact direction I want to go.


My plan for Today


I am going to use Creative Commons videos to post up on my account related to my niche. My second you tube account is going to be used to drive traffic to my money maker. I am going to start uploading CC videos & using every method I know of to promote my channels & up my rankings.

Any suggestions on improving you tube videos, getting more free & high retention views is always welcome. More to come!
