I've been seeing Russian blog networks popping up all over the place. What is the significance of "Russian"?

Russian blog networks (sape) created havoc in SERP some time ago...Now they are spammed to death and its speculated that Google have penalized it...already.

The significance is in good quality of many blogs/sites there (which are not spammed to death, because they are not cheap and don't accept porn, casino, viagra links) and, what is more important, the cheap price comparing to the English-speaking web-sites

Depends on which network and what kind of parameters you use..You need to do a big research before using it

Russian blog networks (sape) created havoc in SERP some time ago...Now they are spammed to death and its speculated that Google have penalized it...already.

sam it depends,sape is not the only network..but the problem is i already mentioned in my posts..most of people used some crap links from sape..Me and some guys we have done a test..with good links{lot of parameters there PR new ,PR,and some pure russian parameters} and after G update also no changes..
So if you are using sape or some russian links ..just mix with other links..you will be fine..and lot of fake PR now a days..so be carful when using it..

How are you checking for fake PR ? Does it have something to do with the new "PR master " ?

There is an option called new PR in sape itself..check links in open site explorer..mostly they use redirection ..better not to use new PR
you need to play in sape for a while ..there itself you can explore the inner pages ...

SAPE is penalized....

I dont accept it fully because, sape is like a knife, depends on how you use it..
You can use it to save life and you can use the same knife to kill someone..
For test purpose i used sape links and still ranking #1..for a competitive niche
But note guys I;m not sure at any time google can take sape entirely..

Ok thanks man . Yeah I open up the URL page I'm going to link to with seoquake and check for indexed pages and Pr . I tried to down load the sape tool bar for Firefox but can't get the translation to work properly .. Any suggestions for that ?
As far as sape not working I can tell you I have close to 20 sites in the system now . It took me almost a month to see results but I'm getting really good improvement on almost all sites .

Russian Blog networks have Tons of site. Yes Really Tons of sites with High PR, PA, DA etc etc. And gives links from Home page footer and sidebar so that easily site ranks well in SERP.
