How accurate is that?
Increasing page rank is not a simple process. It involves to combination of techiniques for a site or a blog. You should follow some the following steps
1. high quality content
2. quality backlink
3. updated content
4. using relevant keywords
5. guest posting
6. social bookmarking
Just wondering, what is the best/fastest way to increase page rank?
Also, how often does google update the toolbar page rank, on average?
I don't see how using relevant keywords will raise your PR
that page rank calculation does not work, by the way. What, if I get only one PR8 link my site will get PR6?..If it was that easy we would all have PR7-8 sites
What if I have many backlinks from google.com which is PR10![]()

Yes. But that's based on real PR, not the toolbar PR we see.
People in this thread really need to understand that the toolbar that is displayed in plugins etc. and is visible (not to mention easily manipulated), can be completely different to the real PageRank, of which only Google sees.
Why people refer to the toolbar PR for things anyway is beyond me. There are so many better metrics to judge a page's potential strength by. PA/DA, ACRank etc.
