hey guys, i'll try to explain as best as i can. I am living in Asia, i made an ebay account 35-40 days ago. For paypal since its not available here i had my cousin make me one who lives in USA. Now i've sold a couple of things on ebay and bought some 25-30 things and have 30+ feedback at the moment (2 as a seller, rest as buyer). What i want to know is how would i go about increasing my limits? Currently i am allowed 10 items or $500 whichever comes first. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

With patience and the best customer service.

Keep your account clean and the DSR high.

Many thanks man,

My main concern is that they will ask me about the paypal? or won't they?

As far as i've read in the ebay help pages they will ask me only what i'll sell and if its authentic or not and my business plans.

Should i call them up after my ebay account is 90 days old?

Calling is never a good idea. I know people that called and asked for a raise of selling limits and woke up that big sleeping beast.

Just be patient and do the best of your ability to have great feedbacks and aim for them 5 stars.

Whats the reg site for the ebay account ? I know you linked a US based PP to it so that may cause some hassle later one after you get it going but should not be to big of a problem to handle.

I see, so they'll raise my limit eventually after some time? I am registered on normal ebay (not any country specific).

Thanks for your advice, appreciated.

Just go to "request higher limits" and then it should ask you to fill out some information (like what's your mothers name or where were you born etc) and then you get the 100 limit.

I tried that already and i get "call us to discuss your selling goals" or "Confirm that you already have an established seller account" Options

buyer feedback doesnt count for seller limits. i also had 10 items $500. but in 6 months bumped to $20,000

I get these two options myself as well, this is because we live outside the US I believe. Personally, I called them myself and all they did was asking me what was I going to sale
and for how much. As long as you are not selling high risks items such as Rolex, etc, i think you will be safe. In less than 20 minutes, I managed to get 50 items a month and around $3,500.
Once I hit that limit I will call again and ask for more. I don't really see any problem in asking for a higher limit as long as you are not selling fakes, ebooks or violating their TOS in a way or another.

Thank you for the information garthor

I will wait for them to increase the limit themselves for now.
