I just wanted to share with you guys, what i just "discovered", i think it's pretty amazing:

Yesterday was the date of the finale episode of The Walking Dead season 3. (It's very popular, as you might already know )

Today:
The #1 results on the search "the walking dead season 3 episode 16" (The season final) is a Google+ posts that were published only few hours ago. The spot 2-3 as well. (I'm not sure if it's from the same guy)

Similar keyword "the walking dead season 3 episode 1" has 60.500 monthly exact match searches, and 201.000 for October 2012 as the best month)

Search:
http://www.google.com/webhp#q=the+walking+dead+season+3+episode+16&pws=0&hl=en&gl=US&fp=1

First result:
https://plus.google.com/communities/113648017976776800617 (No wonder that it's a SEO tactic.)

For this example, it seems like Google values long tail keywords especially high on Google+.

Anyone have experience with this method?

Though it seems like it won't rank for quite long, it still seems quite effective because of the extreme high short-term popularity (also a bit long term)
of the keyword combined with the insane fast 1# ranking.

Cool find. I am kinda newbie when it comes to this thing. Do you think they bomb it with google pluses to rank?

I don't think you can say it's because of the "social signals", because it's a Google+ post that ranks, and not because of any social signals in general.

I don't think it would work no. And for this particular example, it doesn't look like there have been any Google pluses involved.

There ain't any backlinks to find in Majestic SEO yet either, but it's probably because it's so new.

This is extremely long keyword with almost no exact match search. It is a common thing Google to push +s results in top 10 for a while.

I agree with you. But I'm still convinced that there will be a lot of searches for that keyword from yesterday, today and a little forward on. Just see the similar keyword. Though
as i also wrote, i don't think it will rank for that long.

But when the person/persons manage to steal the top 3 results, and rank 1# in only hours, it's still pretty interesting imo. :)

Are you telling me google favors its properties (atleast slightly) such as blogspot, youtube, google+ over others? You bet it does

This is not news

I lubbb G+ it's amazing, I'm building a huge SEO community, and already has tons of members.

As per the WALKING DEAD. I can't believe that merle got killed, and turned..It sorta hurt me, in a strange way when his brother seen him like that. ;( was a let down, to say the least. just can't believe that the finale' ended like that, without much suspense.

thanks for posting anyways..

You Know what!

This Google Plus Tactics Are working From Last 6 months?

this is one of the newly updated and successful seo Tactics.

i am also using the same tactics

Of course it works. Google closes loopholes to ranking elsewhere while leaving their properties immune to any penalties. Once they become popular, and competitors get squished out of existence, then Google can change the rules to further monetize their properties without fear of competitors. That's doing it monopoly style...

Google Products get Google Love... You don't see a vimeo video ranking in the actual search terms for anything do you? Exactly...

Use Google Plus to rank like you use a snake... Venom to treat other snake bites...

Google plus will rank higher because Google owns it. They are trying to promote their site.
