Paypal is a pain in the a**

So they limited my account because I recieved 2,500+ euros in my account and they asked me for proof of my adress and national ID.
Ok, I sent them 2 days ago but no response. At first, near "Provide identification" it was that "in progress" icon. That means they were reviewing it. Now today that icon dissapeared and it's marked again as "To do". I got no mail from Paypal and my limits were not lifted. Is that normal? Usually, how many days does it take for them to verify it..
Now I sent the documents again and I hope they'll lift them already.
Some guys claim that they called Paypal and they immediately removed their limits. The problem is that i'm from Romania and I can't speak english fluently on phone and I think the costs are pretty big. Can anyone help me call them?

If you have real info and the account is loaded with your real identity, there is nothing to worry about. it is maybe theweekend and Ester Holidays for the delay.

Did you send exactly what they asked for? When I had to get verified I had lost my passport so tried to send some unofficial photo ID, they just set set the status back to 'To Do' without notifying me my ID had been rejected.

I used my real national ID and a photoshopped utility bill (it looks VERY real). I don't think that the photoshopped bill is the problem.

Use skype credit to call them

It's the cheapest way and skype credit always come in handy!

The problem is that I can't buy skype credits since my account is limited.

Thanks but I just called them on skype using a cost free number. Talked to a nice lady and she redirected me to someone else. Now im waiting.

You are saying that your english isn't good so you can't call them. Did you type this post yourself? If so, your english is pretty good.


You say it is expensive to call but you are getting 2500 euros in your paypal, yet you can't spend just a few to call paypal?

I just called them A lady told me that they'll check my documents in 24 or 72 hours..
More than 72 hours have passed and I still didn't get any replay and limits are still there.

i'm from romania and when i talked with them they lifted the limit while we were talking....maybe i can help you if you want add me on skype...

Usually a call is enough to solve the problem.
I remember when I had my account limited for no reason, so I called them and got it fixed in 5 minutes.

Call them its always better to talk to someone live!! It also shows that you are genuine and not hiding anything.

Call them, call them, I previously had such problem and calling them solved the problem. Let them understand your situation, you have sent them all the document they asked for and this delay is hurting your business since you cant pay your suppliers etc. ... Create some urgency... And they will sort you faster.
