1. If I am from EU, how much I will pay after a successfull sale as Ebay fees? 10%, 15% or more?
2. As a noob, I listed as my first item for sale, an old and rare book (around 400$), but I get only around 1 view per day. What can I do to increase the number of views for my listing?
3. When you buy from DHgate or Aliexpress, you will have to pay custom fees, isn't it? Here, in EU, the custom fees for products from outside the European Union are 25%. So, in these conditions, it will be still profitable to buy from China (DHgate/Aliexpress) and then re-sale those items on Ebay?
4. You list your items with the purpose to gain at least 20-25% profit from each transaction, right?
5. Any idea which products will worth to buy from China for reselling on Ebay (no fakes included, of course)?
1. Universally an eBay seller will end up paying about 15% of the total item price after the fees are calculated.
2. It really depends on the niche that you are starting in. For books, not many people are looking for it unless it is something really well known and something that everyone wants.
It's rather difficult to increase the listings on these micro niche's since not many people are looking for these items. You can subscribe for an eBay store to have a slightly higher gravity on your search placement, but I personally do not think that it worth it.
3. Usually when you order from a site like Aliexpress or DHgate the seller will actually break up your shipment into different packages in order to avoid customs problems. However, I am unsure about paying the fees in the EU since I do not currently pay any fees for customs in the US.
And about buying for profit on Aliexpress and DHgate. Yes it can still be very profitable, but you have to remember that 90% of the items listed on those sites are replicas.
4. I try to get as much profit as I can off of each item. I think that 20% is a healthy margin. If you are selling genuine items and buying wholesale you should have no problem making a 20% profit margin.
However, if you want to take the riskier path and sell replicas you can make even more. It really depends on what you are selling. Usually I do not recommend selling replicas because you can get caught and that is cheating.
But I have done it before and I made margins of up to 450% on an item. Something you just have to consider. It might be worth it if you sell expensive items, but these are harder to fake.
5. It's actually very difficult to get items to sell from China just because so many of them are fakes. You can get nonbranded clothing and list them as a style of a brand but China is mainly known for it's textile industry since they are able to produce them at a really low cost.
Electronics from China are not usually recommended since this is usually crap. Unless these are from FoxConn and you have access to a supply of iphones I think that buying electronics are a dead end in China.
In my opinion, textiles, toys, and that genre are the best to resell on eBay since they are cheap to make, cheap to acquire.
