Hi i am practically a newbie here. I just wanted to know how would i be able to start a web site from scratch. Most of the affiliate that i have looked up suggest you should have a website in order to start promoting their service. So i am a little perplexed in how to begin. I wouldn't mind different feed back as well. I was looking for some good ring tone affiliate. Any suggestion as well. I seriously do apologize for the newbie question but i really want to get started in making a little extra cash.

Thanks i will be very delighted for any helpful advice.

Start a blog using wordpress. Great way to get started and wordpress will make it easy for you to set up. You'll need a domain name and hosting but you don't need anything expensive in the beginning. Theres plenty of templates out there to that you can use. Hope this helps

Another good way that I am seeing many Gurus are promoting for new marketers is to start off with learning how to set up Google Ads with Google Adwords.

Then from there, you direct all your PPC traffic to your affiliate site and hope for the sales conversion.

This method does come with a cost.

If you are planning to make a branding out of your marketing efforts, then a Blog will start you off well.

Do not be afraid to try out numerous methods that suit you the best, as there is no one common marketing methods for all.

livingitbig,

So I think the most important thing is a good foundation. If you are serious about making money online you are at a disadvantage if you dont know how to make websites. Get a copy of Dreamweaver or any other website software then go get a book from the library. Start slow making simple websites and continue until you can make good lading/money pages.

It is a good Idea to learn how to use wordpress as stated above but if you dont know your HTML / CSS it will be hard for you to edit your pages without frustration. Take your time this will not happen over night. There are many methods here that can make you great money for just knowing how to make sites.

Now is the time to get started - Good Luck

If you look in the cpa section there are some stickies at the top with info on how to get accepted in the cpa networks.

I recommend wordpress as well, it's free and easy to maintain even without any knowledge about html/css. Even if you know basic hmtl it's simply faster to adopt a template than to set up a website from scratch. If you really want to do everything on you'r own it's probably best to use Adobe Dreamweaver as it offers clear and comprehensible interface.

1. Get a unique idea
2. Get a free domain from co.cc
3. get free hosting
4. promote promote promote :)

If you want pure simplicity sign up for a free account at jimdo.com as placing html in their websites is a breeze! You could also sign up with zanox.com for their cpa offers and choose ones for your site accordingly like jamster or a few others that they promote and get the html codes to copy and paste in your free website.

Damn, concentustech. I just noticed you sure have been thanked a lot (4,294,967,295 times). Did I miss a post where you were passing out free money or something?

Hey livingitbig
dont be afraid to ask questions. You will get some that will rubbish you but most people are here to offer advise. Some even offer real help.
It seems most sites on here work well in wordpress, but all depends on what you are going to do..
I know html and have build a few sites in html, but once I started with wordpress it didnt look back.
you can build a normal looking site with WP or build a blog looking site..

Good luck

Yes it is right. This forum is a wealth fountain. It won't hand out money but the idea, knowledge spitting out of it will make you rich.
You will also come across some scammers, liars and scumbags. But that is life. Be very careful when people ask for money with a promise. Old saying. If it is too good to be true, it probably is.
Good luck with your new venture.

hi i apprecaite all the advice that were giving to me. Well i have an account with word press. I notice when you are editing in word press it shows everything that you was doing. Is their a way where u can hide that option so no one will be able to see what exactly you was doing with the post in word press. I am having a hard time with the word press. I really wanted to make something simpler. Should i use a a different software or program. Is adobe pretty much better and what are the advantages and disadvantages.

I appreciated it very much. thank you again.

I actually would recommend weebly.com if you want to whip up a quick website. They give you the option of "click-and-drag" to create websites. It's a great way to get your feet wet so that you don't get scared off from all the html/ccs coding you will eventually encounter.

btw, weebly is free to sign up and use.

What do you mean it shows everything you was doing.
When you put a page or post up, it shows changes when you "publish" it.
Dont "publish" it til that post is ready to do.

Can you explain better what you mean.

Use dreamweaver if you want to make a website, but if you want to learn without spending money first, you can use blogger or wordpress. There's tons of free media that can make you money.(squido, hubpages, ezine, etc)

ok how about this. When using the wordpress, it shows your history in what you was editing as well publishing. In doing this you do not want your history to show in what you was actually publishing. No one is suppose to see that. It just do not look appropriate like that. Is that much better for you. Let me guess having a problem still in comprehending.
