$400 in two weeks on Fiverr

I have 4 kids, wife doesn't work and last year I was deployed for 6 months. I can't say I've been rolling in the moolah doing anything online. I was so desparate to pay some silly bills that I decided to give Fiverr a try. I made level 1 in about a week and just got promoted to level 2 and it's only been two weeks. I never thought I'd be able to make any cash but - dumb luck paid off. It's a pain in tha arse knucklebusting articles but I'm making it work only doing 1-2hrs a day. I'm not spinning, all my content is 100% real.... I got my fiverr debit card the end of last week and have already loaded funds to the card....

Just thought I'd share that fiverr is workin... I won't lie, I'd rather be making $600 a day on craigslist but those days are long gone...

Interesting. Are you promoting your gigs at all or just post the gig and wait for people to find you?
 
Thanks for the love peeps! I've had a lot of wierd requests and I'm learning a lot about what other peoples sites/business are doing. How Can I "double-dip" off my customers, w/out giving out my email address? If I give'm my email then I could have my Fiverr account disabled... Maybe I should put a blurb at the bottom of all my articles, or a link to some affiliate offer... Or should I just keep playing it safe?
 
My gigs aren't promoted at all. Some accounts look like they are brand new dummy accounts. I thought fiverr was ording gigs just to see if I was the real deal. I delivered solid products and work and the flood gates were opened. The first 24hrs I wrote 10 gigs and got feedback very fast. Maybe fiverr has throttling with feedback/orders/delivery...
 
Damn, that's awesome man! I'm really glad you had success with them. After 3 weeks of promoting and coming up with different gigs, one was similar to yours, I jumped ship and got on board with PPD. I am making a few bucks a day and my charts continue to trend upwords. Best of luck to ya!
 
Good job on all the success. Fiverr can be a great source of revenue. Word of advice... don't mess with their TOS by putting your website, email or any of that shit. They can and do revue accounts, including reports, messaging, attachments, etc. Play by all their rules, and they will treat you good. You can, and absolutely should promote your other Fiverr gigs in the reports. You don't need to "double dip" the buyer, because if your gig was good, they will keep coming back for more and more. Now that you have level II turn your Fiverr profile into a solid business... offer several gigs, and promote them all on the backend (in your reports). Those first time buyers will check out all your stuff. Put up the Extras, $5.00 for a gig is a joke, but once you start offering services for $25 (people buy them all the time), then you are making a real income.

Thank you for the feedback - You are right, don't try to milk it. I guess I am sitting pretty and should capitalize on it. People are paying for 24hr turn arounds and some orders are hitting $15 a pop. I'm not clear on what you mean by promoting other gigs in the reports? Can you elaborate? If I can turn this into a solid business model I will, because I'd love to catch $25/pop each gig. What services would I offer to complement the article writing gigs? Again, thanks for the valuable feedback!
 
So say you have 5 different style gigs (it could be article related, or you could start branching out into other Marketing/SEO/Content Creation, what ever you have the knack for). When you send your reports, put a little .txt "My Other Fiverr Services" or "Thank You, Please Read" what ever you feel will work best, and here you can sell them on your other Fiverr gigs. More than you can with the limited space of the Fiverr gig description. Plus they already trust you because you did a good job for them, so are more willing to buy. As far as services, I don't know I'm not in the content creation field, but you want stuff you can do quickly... article writing, unless you can outsource it to somebody for way cheaper, and then deliver, will take up most of your time, so you need to capitilize on quick Extras. Article submission? Offer to "SEO" the article by utilizing Sub Headings, H2, H3 tags related image with correct tags, etc. What ever you feel comfortable with.

There is a good WSO out there that teaches you these little tricks.

The guy suggested something similar i.e. cross-promoting gigs.
 
While the gigs are flowing, and are close in value to the $5 (really $4) being earned, conforming to the Fiverr TOS about not promoting your site, or the true price you should be charging, sounds reasonable. But what happens when the gigs dry up? Or you get fed up doing $12 work for $4?

A simple solution is promoting a gig with a MNS or Web 2.0 property that presells your work. A site you create to promote your services can feature the prices you think your work is really worth, and then offer the link to your Fiverr gig as the means by which a buyer can get a live sample (for a lesser amount of work).

This way the buyer can go straight to your gig and you haven't broken a rule, because the buyer got your contact info via your site before going to Fiverr. Meanwhile the Fiverr gig gets extra traffic from the site, so both the site and the Fiverr gig url benefits. If Fiverr somehow finds even this set-up to be unsatisfactory and bans you, on your own site do what you'd do if an affilliate page you linked to went bad---just swap it out with a new gig url offering the same gig, from a different, more reasonable gig site.

Congratz on your success. I once turned a buyer into $200 profit. When people message you, try to get them to email you, so you then can collect direct payment and potentially extracting more for more services. I have a thread about it if you want to read it.
 
I have offered my article writing services on Fiverr before. It's true that once you do your first 2-3 gigs and get good feedback, the orders start pouring in. But after a while I got tired of writing 500-600 words for just $3.92 each. I went to Textbroker and I'm now a level 4 writer. A 500 word article on Textbroker will earn you about $7. If you are a good writer and know the basic rules of English grammar, then I suggest going to Textbroker.

I had a gig where I was offering $40 Gig extra's Wooo I was getting around 10 orders a month from that.:o
then the gig dried up:(

You need to niche your article writing and say

"I will write a POWERFUL article for your Fasion website"
"I will write a Panda Friendly article for your Pet website"

Now the extras can be

I will submit the article to 500 Google APPROVED article directories for $10
I will back link your article with 1000 TRAFFIC pulling wiki and Bookmarking site links for $20

Boom these are one click software's you can buy right here at BLW;)

Another thing is to look in on the HOT TRENDS of the day/week and see if you can turn them into gigs

I made $200+ in a week from that Harlem shake stuff..people on fiverr were going crazy:D
