scammed buying a website need advice guys

Hey guys

I have been scammed buying a website, at the beginning everything was ok, i received all the login details, and all the files needed, but after a week this scammer just change the cpanel password, im not sure if he reported something with the host or what hi did.

now ok i dont care about the website i want my money back, so i was thinking to open a paypal dispute but what do you recommend me guys, open the dispute telling the truth or tell something like i bought an iphone or something like that, how has some experience with this??

Please guys i lost 1000 bucks, looking for an advice, if this dispute doesn't favor me, ill do a chargeback but again should i say the truth or just lie about a physic product.

I know my english is not so good so apologies for that guys

yep man but how do i have more chances to win it?? telling that i bought a website? im not sure if im gonna be cover with that paypal polices or telling i bought something like an iphone or something else where the seller will be asker for a tracking number or shipping proof

Lie to Paypal, say that you bought 2 iphones. If you buy services/websites, etc.. its much more difficult to get your money back.

File a paypal dispute. Whats wrong in telling you brought a website? Tell the truth and provide all evidence you have like skype/email logs, etc.,
May i know where you brought the website if you brought from flippa you can report them.

yea , right Paypal never refund for service or any type of purchased made electronically.

I bought it from a "friend" now he is lost and have stole my money, my only way its to open a dispute or chargeback.

any body else with this kind of paypal dispute ?? should i win if i bought a website? aanybody won a dispute like this?

I have done loads of webservices. I have gotten multiple chargebacks, and PayPal doesnt give a rats ass about proof. I think it is based on credibility, and if there is none, they want to keep the buyers happy. There have been times where I have shown %100 evidence and they dont give 2 damns. So, I stopped that, and have gone to physical products. Much better.

OP, your gonna have to use PayPals loopholes to get this one back.

If you have proofs like chat logs or email conversations it would be fine. I don't suggest you to lie paypal as the case is legit.
If you can call paypal and tell what happened.

Calling them up after filing a dispute is best. eBay and PayPal love talking to their customers via the phone. I would highly recommend calling them and explaining in great detail, and showing them all the proof via the call, after you submit the report.

Calling them is the best way to handle a dispute but I deal with this all the time using PayPal and if it is a "virtual" good in their eyes then the dispute will be in the sellers favor.
