Today I was struggling to write an article in English, which is not my native language, and I ran into this website called "Pro Writing Aid" (dot com), which has a tool in which you input your text and it analyzes it and gives you different kinds of suggestions on how to improve it.
It is free, of course (there's a paid version, but you can get 99% of its functionality with the free one).
Maybe those English speakers who have some experience or natural talent for writing won't find it too useful, but in my experience, it's helping me notice some tendencies and mistakes in my writing which I'd have otherwise overlooked.

Totally useless tool. I checked texts on johnchow and guess what? The tool thinks that he writes as bad as OP. Nuff said.

Thanks for that. Although I'm pretty fluent in english, sometimes a little help is needed.

I don't think the tool rates articles as good or bad, it only points out some things that might be useful to be aware of. Of course it can't analyze texts like a person would. But, well, I know it's not going to be useful for everybody.

The comment about me being a bad writer was uncalled for. I said I'm not a native English speaker and I'm trying to improve.

Thanks for sharing, does sound very interesting indeed. May have to register and see what it's like :)

@Ginger Ale

There will always be someone, somewhere saying that what you've done it's rubbish. Ignore that and you will be happier.

Well, sometimes it seems so.

Couldn't access the site for some reason. Will try again later. Thanks for sharing.
