How important is the use of proxies? I am using no hands seo on four small microniche sites, so would buying proxies be worth my time?

I personally don't think private proxies are necessary - some people swear by them, though.

If you take a few minutes to look, you can find a lot of "private" proxy lists which get spread around the Internet.

Yeah, I'd be happy to help out where needed, there is a guide(s) in the support forum that go through some of the basics when setting up your profiles, the main one you will be interested in is how to setup NHSEO and add your first profile. There are other guides in the guide section of the support forum as well

Proxies will always be best as you can then use more searching threads, public proxies would likely just lower your results overall unless you have a dedicated proxy tool to harvest and check them constantly.

The majority of inputs have pop-up help that appear when you hover them so you can see what they do and often what inputs they accept. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer them.

Hey, I have a question. When I go to Check Links after I finished running my profile, for every single link under "Exists?" it says "n". It also says "n" for "Pinged?". I'm not sure if n means NO, or if this is norrnal? Thanks this would greatly clear my mind if you could answer my question.

If you want to see lots of Y's in the exists column you need to be checking the confirmed links. If a post is just a post then it has just been posted and is awaiting moderation, most of these will never become a confirmed link. If you check the confirmed links you will see that almost all of them have a link on them.

I tried check links, unfortunately software shows "not responding" message each time. I closed the NHSEO and restarted again.
I tried check log this time. When i am checking logs, only "unsuccessful " shows every time.
Screen shot attached please help me and tell what is wrong.

Yes you an run on a Mac but you will need to use some virtual machine or windows emulator program such as Wine, Parrallels, VMPlayer, VMware etc. Running and emulator or VM software is necessary as NHSEO is a windows software so cannot run natively on a Mac running MacOSX.

I would say probably the most important aspects of the setup would be to use as large a variation of anchor texts and possible and to use spinnable custom comments so that you get added relevancy and less footprints. Also it is always good to add a website in as a single website profile and add different anchor texts to the different pages of your website using the Profile Handler=>Pages tab.

Proxies can be good for improving acceptance rate and running more searching threads for improved link building speed.

Ultimately the main aim of all of your profiles is to use as much variation as possible for all your content pages.

Referring to the question about the Ys in the exists column please see my reply from a couple days ago:

If you want to see lots of Y's in the exists column you need to be checking the confirmed links. If a post is just a post then it has just been posted and is awaiting moderation, most of these will never become a confirmed link. If you check the confirmed links you will see that almost all of them have a link on them.

Now as for the not responding this is due to a bug in the trial, unfortunately the trial is running on a much older version of NHSEO when compared to the current full version. You can output a list of linking pages by right clicking on a profile and choosing to output the confirmed links and then you will see that the vast majority of pages do contain your links. The bug with the link checker doesn't always happen so you may be able to do a link check with that if you try again as it is not constant in all cases.
