GScraper - anybody bought proxy service ?

Hi all,

I used GScraper for the first week with free proxy service and I don`t know if I should buy their proxies for another month or not. Anybody bought their service ? Are the proxies as fast as during the first week ? Or do you accomplish any "slowing-down"-effect after buying their service ?
Any other negative aspects of GScraper or the proxy-service (except the support forum - the support is horrible - no answer on questions and forum seems to be dead) ?

I feel that instead of paying that exorbitant $48/month you should go for other proxy providers which can provide u for much lower price but then, I have also used the software and it was awesome for the first week but after the proxy service got over my own public proxy list which actually scrapes faster on scrapebox slowed down on gscraper.
If you can really afford to pay 48 a month then go for it. After all you wont need private proxies to post too so you can save up the price

GScraper is awesome lol. I managed to work up a deal with the owner, so I get free proxies but yeah thier stuff is legit and works well. Making a 50k list (no dupes) in like an hour.

Yeah support is horrible, but I bet if I keep bothering them, they'll eventually budge.

Thanks for your replies. Some of my questions could be answered now. I bought another week of their proxy-service. I hope they will work as fast as in the free week. Or even better ?

I will give you a review after that additional week. Hopefully a positive one. Btw: does anybody know what are the fixes in the update from 1.1.6.0 to 1.1.6.1 ? After the update it seems that my connections are slowing down after a while...

More users = proxies will die. I was using gscraper when it was not as popular and it was damn fast. Now its slower because more users pay for proxy service.

I've found gscraper works great then slowly starts to bog down towards the end of huge scrapes or PR checks...anyone else?

Try it with 1.6.1.0 instead of 1.6.1.1 - there is no such effect - only with 1.6.1.1 I had this behaviour

1.6.1.2 appears to have sorted out the problem.

latest version is 1.1.6.5 - now their proxie service is very slow - they slowed down proxie retrival speed - and because of this the max. possible threads for posting and scraping is now very minimized - in the previous version (1.1.6.4) the threads for posting and scraping where both not limited - I could post with 700 threads - that was great...

I pay for 100 private proxies from squid for most of my other software, but I still subscribed to gScraper's proxy service and I love it!

i have provided port scanned public proxies to over 600+ users in
the last 3 yrs for Google scraping with scrapebox, never done a single
refund not1. i see gscraper as no different.

and whats the difference between public proxies that are scrape and
public proxies that are port scanned ? anyone with a url harvester
can get a list of public proxies this way, and so can everyone else
with a url proxie scraper which means thousands all share the same proxies

95% of public scraped proxies sold as a service can be harvested for free
as they already come from websites they where posted on for free in the
first place that are then tested, then sold to you

with port scanning public proxies your ip sniffing ip address blocks for live
public proxies that url scraping cant get, so the port scanned ones last
3x as long and thats how you get 600+ google proxies sales and 0 refunds
in 3 yrs on bhw .

Load up my private proxies (100) and I get 40,000/min.... but they start to die out after a bit. I thought the whole point of this huge bank of proxies was to deliver the speed of private proxy scrape. Otherwise WTF would anybody in their right mind pay $49 for this service?

Which footprints are you trying to scrape with? The speed depends on the footprints and the keywords. Try testing with the footprint "Leave a reply" and use built in keywords and try scraping with their proxy service..You should be getting above 40k/min

I can tell you this much, I love the program itself... But I thought the proxies sucked. I dropped their proxy service after a month and went with private ones. My speed normally averages around 20K per minute with private proxies, but as hardcorebiker said, your footprints are going to have alot to do with speed with gscraper. Bottom line is I think their proxy service is very overpriced regardless.

I've just been using my own proxies, but the service was good for the short time I used the GScraper list. It's expensive, guessing that's why the software itself is so cheap.

Agree with some of the comments here, the software is a beast!
