You can make more money with 11k hits for sure, however, the thing is that this traffic are looking for freebies, people on movie forums don't really fall for content lockers, but an url shortener is seen as perfectly harmless and natural to them, whilst you do get a little residual revenue.

Personally, I think it's nice that someone who doesn't post that much, is willing to share stuff.

A nice spin from this would be to create your own ad-based redirection service and keep the money from advertisers, how about that?
