I have been having issues since updating a couple versions ago. My cpu usage is stuck at 99% and lpm is 0.05. I am running 50 threads on a 60 meg net connection on a core i7 with 12 gig of ram. Anything I can try?

Also would be worth mentioning its a fresh install of windows home premium and ive tried reinstalling the software and everything and I am also using private proxies.

GSA SER setup:
At the moment 4 projects Tier1 only
Submits: Article, Directory, Social Bookmark, Social Network, Video, Web 2.0
PageRank: skip sites with a PR below 3
Skip unknown PR, use PR of domain
Outgoing links: skip sites with more than 50
180k keywords (scraped with SB)
156 engines checked (all English language)
50 e-mail accounts
Threads to use: 150 (have been changing it up and down - results same)
HTML timeout: 45
NO LIMITS!

Now I am running 4 projects, only one tier at the moment, and it makes about 5 verified links a day for a project. One project has got 200 verified links since Nov 2012. My LPM is only 0.13.

Well first off, PR3 or more and less than 50 OBL is quite restrictive in itself but if this has to stay in place, so be it.

I'd make the following changes:

156 engines checked (all English language) Reduce this greatly, bring it down to 7 maximum. I use 3. Why? Because they share many of the same results and your GSA will constantly be running the 'already parsed message' as it finds links it's already detected from other engines. This alone will boost your LMP.

HTML timeout: 45 Change to 140.

Submits: Article, Directory, Social Bookmark, Social Network, Video, Web 2.0 Remove the platforms that aren't performing for you.

I just read gsa forum and made the following changes: threads from 150 to 100, HTML timeout from 45 to 120 (now trying 140), time between searches from nothing to 10. I got LPM from 0.13 to 1.40. Now I changed search engines from 156 to 12 (google/bing/yahoo - au ca uk us), and i will see how it goes now.

I am thinking of maybe i should get a VPS with more RAM (1GB at the moment), and maybe more private proxies than 10 because my gsa uses those for everything.. Could these speed up my LPM?

No worries. I think the changes you are making with give you a decent LPM and probably the max you'll get with 4 projects. People who post about 100 LMP and higher are usually running 50+ projects so it can be a little a deceiving when you just see that number on it's own. Only go for more RAM if you're going to run lots more projects. If you can afford it, get the GSA indexer too as I've seen vast improvements on SERPS since using it. No point getting 1000's of links if G can't find them.

I am already using GSA indexer. Thanks for the info, i will see tomorrow what the changes have caused, and uncheck the engines that dont work too well. And think about more RAM when adding projects.

to darkman - it has video sites to submit but i have never seen actually any videos submitted, but i am using yt videos in my spun text.

you could try to set HTML timeout to around 60 and see how things develop.

also make sure you mark your proxies as private (right click proxies -> toggle private/public) and use them only for searching and posting. to verify your links with your IP of the VPS should work fine. and as you doesn't have so many projects yet you can also use your VPS IP for PR check which will save some time and should work with less than <50 threads in my experience.

i don't think that its absolute necessary to use more than 1gb RAM in your case as you don't have that many projects running. just try to optimize your settings and which engines you want to post to and you should be fine.
in case you have AV/Firewall software installed on your VPS and run nothing more than SER+CS+Indexer than get rid of those first as they are not needed. you are safe as SER+Indexer are socket based and don't use crap like IE to create your accounts and post links/articles.

Look in your project options where it says, if a form field can't be filled, "ask user". Click on the words "ask user" and it will change to skip or choose random. You want it to be set on choose random.

That's up to you. I've been playing around with this a little bit. One of my current projects has 7 emails and it was running great. Maybe somewhere around 5-10. I'm not sure yet because there hasn't been too much said about it yet.

For me personally I'd get at least 2 gigs of ram. Internet speed you should be fine with a cable internet connection or a VPS 100MBPS. You could probably get away with less then that. I would just download the trial and test it first to make sure its running good on your system.

Would that cause the program to throttle down my submission threads if it thinks I am at 99%? I noticed the option to automatically adjust threads to cpu usage option is now gone so was wondering if that is something built in automatically now. I did try to lower my search engines to about 8. I noticed that today the CPU usage in program is much more accurate but my LPM is dead proxies are all green. I am going to try some other settings to improve things if I figure out what is killing my LPM now I will post it here but everything was fine until about the 5.40 update then it just died on me. Will figure it out however any suggestions would be appreciated as well.

So the CPU usage in the software was reading 99% but when you manually checked via monitor resources it was much lower. I'll have to talk to Sven and see what can throw off the numbers.

That system resource monitor was completely removed. It seemed to cause more issues then it helped.

You said dead proxies are all green? Which search engine are you checking them against? Its Bing by default but you might be scraping from Google so some might be blocked.

You can watch the logs and usually see why your LPM is slow.

This must have went to Sven. Did you completely lose the license or what? You can install the software on as many machines as you want and only run it on 1 at a time so if you are just transferring to a new VPS, you won't need a new license. If you completely lost the license, you can PM me your email address, I'll send it directly to Sven.
