I make some links in a web 2.0 site. but I found this web 2.0 site have a news article is about: Violence, sexual assault , in that news have some sensitive vocabulary.

So this web 2.0 links was dirty will harmful to my site?

Leckie,

The links impact on your site will depend on where it was placed, what anchor text was used in it, the authority of the page it is on and the authority of the domain overall. So for example if the link was placed in the article you mentioned and your site content does not have anything to do with the content of that article, then yes the link is not good for your site. If however the link was placed in another part of the site in content that is highly relevant to your content and website, then no, it won't matter if there is some article elsewhere on the site that has sensitive language.

Is the site you placed the link on a reputable site overall? If it has high PR and is an authoritative site then the link will be good for your website. If the site is spammy in nature, of low quality or has a history with Google or other engines as being an untrustworthy domain, then the link will work to hurt your website.

Also keep in mind that the impact of links is relative to all the links in your profile. So for example if you have several thousand links and you only have one bad one, I wouldn't worry about it. On the other hand if this is the only link to your site, I would work on getting it removed if its poor or build a ton of better ones.

Not sure if you know a lot about backlinks but here is more info on them,

If there is anything to add to the above, it would require writing a thesis. I doubt if I have the time right now. Super!
