Looking for advanced SEO Material

Hey guys,

Been doing SEO work now for a while. I pretty much know the basics of onsite, but i'd like to venture into semi-advanced/advanced whitehat practices as well as start to learn the basics of blackhat.

It's easy to find all the basics right here, but I'm having trouble finding structured, up to date, onsite and back link building information. The goal is to start building backlinks myself and get beyond the basics.

I think in every business basic are important, if your basics are good you do not need to find advanced techniques, you need to spend the time in counting the money and monitoring the current conditions and nature of the business.

Now the question is what is the basic of online marketing/seo/affiliate or etc

Ask yourself Question first:- What is the quality on-page optimization?

What is the quality off-page optimization?

If you find the answer of this, please do not go for beyond and advanced techniques, i waste my lots of years in the finding of ADVANCED TECHNIQUES AND STRATEGIES Now i found Strong Basics are enough to get success in any nature of business

This is subjective and will depend entirely what niche your in.

If you know the basics then carry them out to the best of your abilities, continually revisiting to see how you could possibly improve.

Then analyse the top sites in your niche that your competing against, study both their on and off page seo strategies. Take this intelligence and apply it to your own strategy, match, adapt and improve on your competitions methods.

One big caveat on this though is to avoid doing anything that may possibly incur a big G slap in the future. Just because one of your competitors may be getting away with a technique today doesn't mean that they will be tomorrow.

I appreciate the insight, perhaps I wasn't clear enough. Here are some examples of what I'm looking to learn:

1) back link building - I see a LOT of options for "buy X number of links from ABC company". many of them are just spam. I'm looking to learn how to do the actual link building myself. what goes into it? where do you start? and so on...

2) So we know the basics, but... what are they derived from? At some point, someone is translating that information for us (i.e tag clouds, keyword density, PR, exc). Where does that data come from?

3) post panda/penguin - I'm really struggling to find any details on the evolution of the seo practice post those releases.

In short, I'm looking for details, facts, formula, foundation.

It seems from what you are saying that you are wanting to actually learn basics of off-site SEO. There are plenty of threads here detailing link building methods which do stay up to date which you can find in the White Hat SEO forum here like Cash202 who does keep his stuff updated.

Then after you follow the method you can start trying to automate it using some tools. Don't try to do it with tools first and learn SEO later as you may not know what you're supposed to do with the tools, make too many links in one go, etc. Think of it as learning a bike - start with the training wheels first. Do it with a dummy site that you've made up. Don't do it with your main one as you may make mistakes during the whole process. Once you get familiar with that process you can deviate the process so it isn't always the same. This would be taking the training wheels off by doing this as link building should be creative.

You will find some of the advanced white hat stuff over on agency blogs, SEL, SEJ, etc. One of the agencies I really like is SEER Interactive - they have some great stuff but as you're a newbie it may go over your head as some of their things can be a bit technical.

You can also try going to a search conference like SES, MozCon, SMX (but not the one in Seattle as that's advanced), etc. Great way to network. I've been to SMX and the speakers are really knowledgeable. There is also a beginners course which may be able to help you out. Last year's topic included link creation techniques.
