screen resolution? simple javascript can pick up your screen resolution as well as your ip, browser, and OS.

let's say you're doing some shady stuff with proxies on your sick nasty 24" lcd at 1920x1200, wouldn't that be suspicious if every identity you have uses that same resolution? (obviously the person investigating would already have to be suspicious to be looking at your account with such detail, but still...)

is there any way to spoof this value? or (as i suspect) does one actually have to change their resolution with every new "identity" (assuming one gives a crap about this in the first place, which many probably don't)?

such information can be spoofed at the browser and/or proxy level. there must be some tools for it.

Aren't most people's computers using the same screen resolution, 1024 x 768, and don't most people have cookies enables so they can use many websites that require so?

Too many similarities with too many computers unless one has some unusal settings, etc., no?

What is "Flash version" and wouldn't many people have it? So, if you're changing your ip (proxies) wouldn't you look like several people that have this version, and the same browsers and browser versions.

I mean how many people use Mozilla Firefox, latest version (updates automatically)?

Thanks for the explanation minute80. I'm not up on anything having to do with "clicks" for one's site. I have a website for a service I provide but I have a SEO service/acquaintances that takes care of my website and my positioning on Google (is this what you're referring to?). It's worth the minimal cost, plus I also do some work with them so my cost is even less.

With searches my service comes to the top (first). My service/industry isn't oversaturated so the positioning is much easier than many others. Plus, I'm learning a lot about SEO from working with them. It's really interesting stuff but oh so much to learn.

The "clicks" I use proxies for have nothing to do with clicks for those reasons. It's for something completely different (thankfully!), much more personal use.

I have a similar situation. One of the big website block my new acocunt creation. Tried over 100 socks, Over 100 VCCs, deleted cookies, change resolution, change OS, changed Webbrowser but still same. I think some websites can take some private info from visitor's PC. And they can use it against u (To block you)

So guys anybody can make a list of variables for a site to identify you ?

Big G? What does that mean?

I don't use Ebay for anything.

My service doesn't depend on clicks to my website (or I don't know enough about that to make a difference with it). I don't try to cheat any way with that, it's just a basic, simple website that mostly was created for my listing on Google.

My service in my location is not oversaturated so the listing on Google does great. It now does better than my ad in the phone book Yellow Pages. I guess because more and more people are using the internet instead of phone books for this service.

mac address (use tmac to spoof mac address and then enable your router to take on your computer's mac address)

TCP/Ip headers. Use Security Cloak to spoof these (requires reboot).

Yep, clear cookies, change useragent and change proxies. There are very few sites that check more than this. Although I understand that clock skew could be the new "DNA fingerprint" of your computer going forward.

I would just add that for some users mac spoofing is the only way that they can get a new ip address.
