Directories gone .. articles sites gone....blog commenting gone ...profiles links gone .. big G cracked on all these. Now what ? where to get links from ?

None of those listed are "gone". They just dont instant rank you on their own. You need to have a balanced link profile from multiple sources.

Really? There are many threads and guides on link building
which mentions good methods on link building. If you mean fully
automated, then may be not.
But these still works High PR sites, guest posting, web2.0s and lots of others!

Agreed. Less automation and more time writing good content and placing it on reputable sites still works rather well.

I hope, the article sites are still active and in trend. And why cant you go for guest posting. this option will never have end. some provides guest posting for free and some for cost. It depends upon the reputation of the site.
