Hello BHW,
I created a youtube channel, in late October comprised of mainly concert footage etc. I was simply trying to get quite a large amount of traffic to my channel by uploading very popular videos featuring popular artists. I also took footage from popular television shows.
I gained around 1,000,000 views in one month (I must say, I was very lucky), over the course of many videos - and the traffic I was sending to my blog from the channel was great.
However, during the early course of the month - I realized especially in live concerts, most artists don't play a song exactly like the recorded version, sometimes in a much different fashion.
So much so that youtube doesen't recognize it as it's original copyrighted song, and I could monetize it.
And from what seemed like a bonus, I gained around $100 from over-lay advertisements from the few videos I could manipulate and monetize.
Then I got banned from youtube, and my channel and all my videos are gone.
And yet, my $100 from adsense is still around - It's been 1 month and I haven't been banned from adsense. So I'm guessing it's all good?
Which leads me onto say, could I just make quick channels and upload this videos again and again, monetize them, get a decent amount of money with adsense, get banned - and repeat the process?
Or will google catch onto it? However I feel it quite dangerous manipulating and playing with youtubes implemented systems..
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
