thanks for this tip!
a question though: isn't google clever enough to get the point? is there a chance to get penalized by google for using this technique?

I don't think google would care about where you get links from but as for digg.com they might kick you out. but let's hope not because i like this tip :)

I don't know guys..
Today I searched a gambling-related website, with more than 100 backlinks from digg (all from pagerank 1-4)..
I thinked this website had pagerank 3+...but, NO! this site is pagerank 0, and I used a PR Predictor, and it said this site will stay in PR 0 O.o

Sounds strange...I think...

Yeah, after a while it gives you a CAPTCHA error no matter what you do. May need to do some IP and account rinsing. But this is a great backlink building method, and something that I have never thought of. Thanks to the OP.

I found that almost all the links are no follow on digg. I did this and got 0 results.

i have to admit i though digg was smarter than that... they are fucking overspammed on some of those pages... ridicilous

the links are do-follow, but how long till google indexes the links on the old posts, any ideas?

Thanks for the method, however, I am new to this and don't understand the whole pinging thing. If I go to ping-o-matic Digg is not an option. What exactly do I have to type into ping-o-matic if I want to successfully "ping" the comment?

acutally, I've used this method since a year ago. And I have a method to find these high pr pages much much quicker.
