"Content is King" being said all throughout this forum every single day.

I remember when I was in the blogging business, I asked myself how do I be "the best" without spending money.

When I first started out I wrote 2-3 articles a day then I told myself this won't get me far.

I started to write 18 a day which got me to more than 500 articles in a month.

What you put in, is what you get. There are no shortcuts if you see one it won't last long.

I get the whole content deal, but if I just went with "content is king" advice in SEO, I would be homeless by now. You can't rely on what Matt Cutts says. There are shortcuts and those who don't use them, always lose to those who do.

Its actually the same set of things which will bring you ahead on SERPs. Content, Good links, Internal linking, Social Signals, Blogs etc etc etc! It is a fact that domain (and page) authority has pretty much replaced PageRank as the ruling factor for ranking. Cheers

What kind of DA and PA are you talking about? Just curious as I know many domains with seomoz DA and PA of over 70 that can't even get 50 hits a day.

If its a new domain it would take a lots of money and time to get the authority in your niche. Do everything you can manage in your budget.

Make facebook, twitter , linkedIn, and everyother social media page..and put informative content on them ( build a blog and get the RSS feed displayed on all of your social network...)

Apart from it, Link building is essential....Get your niche people talking about you. Grab some guest post....do some press releases .

The best way to influence your domain and page authority is to focus on your overall SEO. This included every aspect, from the content of your site, on-page SEO, how often it gets updated, the pagerank, traffic and your link profile. There isn't really a 'quick' way to change it but you should focus on getting quality content rather than quantity. Articles should be over 500 words and relevant to your niche. What's most important though is your link profile, so if you're going to focus on something then sort that out and try to get as many relevant backlinks as you can get.

As a Web Developer, I can tell you how to increase domain authority - but you won't like it!

1/ Do full LSI keyword analysis of your niche
2/ Make sure you have a page for every keyword on your list - and each page targets the main keyword, and the other 8 to 15 LSI keywords that need to be on the page in 1,500 to 2,000 words of content
3/ Every page of your site (except contact, privacy, etc.) must have content that is as good as, or better than the top 10 sites on Google for the page's primary search phrase

The rest is basic SEO and time

Unfortunately, the age of shortcuts is over - and so is the age of amateurs getting top search rankings on Google - at least not for a long period of time
