I hate to say it, but I would stay away from Obey and AdvertMarketing, even if you aren't doing SMS or anything considered "illegal."

It also might be worth noting to be careful of who you speak with and what you say in relation to the above information, but that's
just my opinion.

Anyway, I felt it necessary to warn the BHW community and anyone who might be impacted by this.

Any thoughts or comments?

Wow. I would heed the advice of the OP. You would be silly to do otherwise.

As someone that is harassed regularly by SMS spam, I sincerely hope they spend the next 20 years getting fucked up the ass by prisoners riddled by AIDS.

^ Jesus.

I've had a lot of experience with AdvertMarketing and I have nothing but good things to say, I like the guys a lot. I actually feel sorry for them now though as I know they would have seen dollar signs and grabbed them. Anyway, I would probably stop some campaigns with them. Hopefully this all gets straightened out!

The FTC is using SMS as a wheel to go after the entire email submit industry. Some big changes are coming our way soon, so I would start preparing now.

The other day, the thought did enter my mind that E-mail submits might not be around much longer, or might not be worth sending traffic to, but I'm not sure.

Wasn't obey.my just another scam setup for Ryan eagle?

Doesn't sound like you have much business being on this forum if this is how you feel about those annoying internet marketing people. Oh, and FYI - the FTC can't put people in jail. They can only sue them.

That is what I was thinking. If this goes through(which it will), it will be just a matter of time till the email cpa offers go away.

If the FTC determines they violated the Sherman Act there are criminal penalties that can be considered. No chance of that happening in this case. Just didn't want people to think the FTC doesn't own a pair of handcuffs.

time to make membership sites in every niche.

I guess it helps if you aren't spamming tens of millions of people and defrauding them. I would still be careful with the SMS of course either way.

What is wrong with them... It's like they have department for every little thing ... ! One day they will catch people for breathing ......... !!
