New release fixed my GSA freezing. Thumbs up.
Btw, is there any way to add proxies to gsa indexer?

I'm right there with ya Ozz. This isn't something that I'll be using but I guess some users want to separate their proxies to try and keep them from burning out too fast? (I think)

Users may be using their proxies for multiple tools (other than GSA SER) and across multiple machines. If they want to preserve their private proxies for certain tasks, this feature will allow them to do so.
That's not going to work nearly as well as proxies. With proxies you have a lot more I.P.'s that are being used. The software is multithreaded so having more I.P.'s is going to help a lot more.
so you like to use unstable and slow proxies for searching which are banned more often than not on the major SEs and shared with the whole world instead? i think everyone is better off with private proxies and disable query time (or use a "highish" query time) if your proxies are banned such often (or buy some more proxies). furthermore you are able to use more than one type of SE for more diversity (= not using specific SEs such often).Love the new proxy feature. I seen people ask why this
feature is needed. Well, if you're paying for private proxies
and you're using them for both scraping and posting, how
long do you think it would take Google to ban them?
I was told by Tony (He has a proxy service here), was just
on Skype with his for almost an hour and what he said made
total sense. Use public proxies for all your scraping, and your
private ones for joining and posting to sites.
private = XNow my question is this.
When I mark a proxy in GSA as private, that should be an X
beside the proxy, or no X and an empty field on the proxy
list screen? Would be nice if it had a Yes or a no.

This is exactly why I made some suggestions in the official forum to try to get more options in this regard.
We really need some additional options that will enable us to make better use of all of the SE's, as well as give us far more control over how the searches are conducted. I have some suggestions but first let me give you an example of where we are stuck at the moment.
Let's say we have thousands of keywords/footprints.
We obviously don't want to hit all of Google's worldwide sites with our multiple/individual searches because we would likely end up with a lot of duplicates and waste a lot of resources in the process. We also don't want to use just one Google SE for all our searches as that would mean we end up hitting it with our queries far too often and would likely get our proxies banned/temp banned very quickly. Currently, to strike a balance, we tend to select 5 or 6 search engines. The problem with this is we are stuck with the same 5 or 6 for all searches in each project which can sometimes run to 100's of thousands of keywords. Obviously we can go into each project and conduct a manual change but this is no quick feat when you have 20, 30, 50, 100 or more projects on the go.
To really improve the way searches are made, I suggest that we are given just two more options, as follows.
(1) Use 'All' or 'Random' Search engines from those selected.
(2) Search xx times. (This would only be activated if 'Random' is selected.)
To give you a better idea of how these options would work lets say that I have pre selected 100 search engines. Then...
Selecting 'All' would conduct the search exactly as it is done at present. Meaning if you have 100 SE's selected (or 5, 10, 15, whatever) that each footprint/keyword is going to be searched on all of the selected SE's. (not good in my opinion)
Selecting 'Random' and entering, say, '3' as a 'Search xx Times' number would mean that SER would then search on just 3 search engines chosen randomly from the 100 in all that are selected. It would select a different 3 SE's for each search.
It would be great to gather some extra support for this as I believe it will enable us to take our results with SER to a completely new level. If any members here can see potential in what has been suggested above, or can add to it, then please say so so that we can try to get it added.
What is the maximum number of urls that we can import into GSA SER?
Anyone ever tried importing a million urls?
Just bought this finally after reading all the reviews and hearing so much. Can't wait to get started!
100 k list of keyword we, common English keyword which we can add in keywords tab,
I would like to see a new option added on a project level where you can disable PR-checking for that particular project. The reason is that doing those PR-checks on tiered links tends to ban PR-checking on my private proxies pretty fast, seeing as they are being built rapidly from the global site list. I would rather have this kind of option than risking to slow down the submission rate by doing the PR-checks through public proxies.
Would like to now time before seing result on heavy keywords, have been runing now for more then 1 month....
any discount still available ?
You can already disable PR checking on the project level by going into the project options.
