I'm having a similar problem. I have been running GSA since last summer always with 60 Threads, private proxy, 10-20 projects, no problems using internet or even photoshop while running. My Resource use was around 75MB 50% CPU.

Since around 5.26 update, GSA went to 99% cpu 200MB resource usage. It constantly flashes not responding, I have to use Task Manager to minimize and maximize and when I drag Task Manager across GSA it erases the display in that area and it takes 15-20 sec for it to redisplay.
My submissions went from 5000+/day down to about 300/day.

I lowered my thread count to 10 and ran 1 project - 99%CPU 200MB. Ran for 30 minutes, 1 submission

Yes, Sven will figure it out if there is a bug.

I've around 800 proxies and all are private ones in GSA. I barely get 5-10 LPM .. Do you think high amount of proxies can reduce the LPM?

No if you have that many private proxies you should be golden. Have you lowered your time between search engine queries? That can speed things up a lot.

How many projects are all of you running? I have upwards of about 100 projects in my GSA. Should I consider lowering the amounts?

hey so what knowledge do I need to know prior to buying this? Like proxy stuff I do not know allot about this stuff. . will I need to buy a proxy plan? also will my windows 7 work on my hp. Sorry if this is a redundant question but you have 128 pages

Same thing happening to me. Not too worried as well b/c Sven's support is just ridiculous awesome. I'm sure he will resolve it soon.

Tested the blog commenting. Only had 15 of 300 successful posts. Havent had a chance to try all the features yet though, but looks like a great competitor for no hands seo. Looks promising

If you want the best results, private proxies are what you will need, but adding to the software is pretty easy. I can help you with that if needed. Also you will need to either have a captcha service solve captchas, use a stand alone captcha solving software or solve them yourself. A stand alone captcha solving software is the cheapest version in the long run other then solving them yourself but you would be babysitting the software.

People compare this to NohandsSEO and while that's a great tool they're really completely different. I'm pretty sure NHSEO doesn't post any type of contextual blog platforms or do social bookmarks, video sites, etc. Both great tools though.

Never used NohandsSEO but SER is the best software I am using. This is what I am getting after switching to SER trackback engine instead of my own trackback script:
More than 400 LPM with 10 private proxies (with my own lists) and people can imagine how many submission are made in 24 hours

You people created a great tool.

People compare this to NohandsSEO and while that's a great tool they're really completely different. I'm pretty sure NHSEO doesn't post any type of contextual blog platforms or do social bookmarks, video sites, etc. Both great tools though.

long gone the day you could compare it to NHSEO
you could compare both as SER were version 1.XX and since then it had like +300 updates

update to v5.33 instead and see if it works. one user in the official forum reported that everything works fine since he disabled the use of global lists in his projects. maybe this helps, too.

*NOTE* - For those of you that wanted to separate proxies and use public for one task and private for another, it can now be done. w00t w00t.

one of the most useless features ever, imo. which proxies aren't good enough for searching that are good enough for posting (and vice vera)?

I'm right there with ya Ozz. This isn't something that I'll be using but I guess some users want to separate their proxies to try and keep them from burning out too fast? (I think)

i know. the good thing is that Sven gives options to everyone. but on the other hand i like to warn people to use this when they have private proxies anyway. private proxies are stable and fast. the opposite is true for public proxies and so it will hurt your submission rate.

Sven said he would be looking into optimizing CPU usage now. We'll see how things pan out over the next few releases.
