What the hell happened?

Hello everyone,

I am very confuse right now, yesterday I was listed on position 6 on the 1st page of one of my keywords and today when I checked I am on page 63, what the hell happened? I am not doing any black seo technichs just exchanging links in a 3 way type and 2 way type nothing more than that same as most of my competitors, also I notice all my keywords position went down, I am been punish by Google? What I can do to fix this or at least to recover previous position?



Please help!!

That is usual, sometimes your website just gets a kick back from Google. Just keep building backlinks and you should get your Google SERP back.

There was a Google Update recently? Source? It only had an increase on my ranking, if it were to be true.

No, I don't actually know actually. It's probably Google Dance. But it took me around 4-5 days to get my SERP back at #2 from #27. Just keep building backlinks and you should be okay.

So, this is Google Dance? is there any way to check it? because the dropping was drastically from page 1 to 63, we are talking of 62 pages its a lot and even in one of my keywords I was first position and now I am in 18 position now, I am keeping building links, but, it could be something else than Google Dance? Is my website penalize or something like that or is a test from Google to see if your links are build in a natural way?

Please let me know, just want to be sure.

I remember the first time that happened to me. I was so happy to see my site rank #1 and just as quickly it was gone...then it was back...then came Penguin...then came EMD...now I just expect these things. But yeah Google bounce is normal, especially with newer sites

I would be will to bet that you are having site metric problems, like bounce rate being high. Although some are attributing this update to links, I believe it was panda based. Now, if you have links on sites that was hit by panda, it devalues the links pointing to your site, like knocking the legs out from under a chair, the chair falls to the ground. A sites legs are links for this analogy. Second, if you are doing link exchanges, that means you could be linking to pandalized sites and causing your sites to fall. From what you stated, I would check these first.

I just do what zerofoxtrot, to keep making exchange like nothing happened and it will recover my SERP in a few days? It has nothing to do with been sandbox or penalize or anything like that right? Hey marlin, thanks for da reply, how can I know what sites were hit by panda so, I can take my links from them? is there a way to know what pandalized webs link to me?

chck ur backlink profile using ahrefs or majesticseo or backlinkcheckerace. 3way exchance may trigger penalty if u went thru bad domain. u have gwt? check that for some sort of error

Hey xsisonline, thanks for da reply, I just checked my site with majesticseo and ahrefs and I do not find anything weird or any kind of error at all, looks everything fine, my links are growing the right way. What you mean with gwt? There is no error with that name in any report or any kind of error at all.

How can I check if the site in pandalize or how can I check if any of my links are?

Hi man, I'm in the same position too, 2 days ago my site was on page 1 for it's keywords, and now it's sitting on page 26, hence why I came on here to see if this is normal, by the sounds of the replies it is. Please let me know when your site returns to it's original or better position ok? thanks

Then it happened at the same time as me, I hope it is normal but, still have to wait 2 or 3 more days to come back to normal or that is what people told me, right now it is the same!

When it comes back, I will let you know! I really hope it does!!

Just on question it happened in most of your keywords as me? Any idea why this happens? Google Dance?
