Two pages for almost the same keyword

Hey,
I was wondering what is better to do:

I have 2 keywords lets say they are:
"Can kids eat playdough"
"Can Children eat playdough"

The first gets 1k searches a month, the second gets 500 a month.

Should I make a page for each of them saying the same thing (different text oc) or should I make one page and try to get both terms on the same page?

ATM I have a page for the first one, and I am 2nd spot for the first term, and 6th for the second. Would it be easier to add to the first page, or to make a second page?

Make tons of pages with unique contents on each page. You'll be amazed.

I make pages for every 2 or 3 keywords I want to get ranked on google

I never pick 2 keyword's for 1 page just pick 1 keyword for every page and write quality content.

I disagree. Don't focus on one keyword because you need diversity. I usually do at least 10 keywords per page, plus some random words (truly random, not just "click here" which everyone uses as a random word). Force-feeding the same keyword looks unnatural.
